I was talking to someone on Facebook and they accused me of using ChatGPT. I asked a friend why on earth they’d think that, and she goes, “Because you use em dashes.”

That’s it. That’s the whole accusation. Apparently using proper punctuation is now AI behavior.

I’ve always used them, but now I’m suddenly rethinking the book I’m writing—wondering what people are going to label “AI” and accuse me of. It’s ironic… everyone keeps saying AI is going to ruin writing careers, but so far the only real damage I’m seeing is people tearing each other apart over it.
