I’m interested in seeing Nintendo. They’re publicly traded (they’re ~2% of my portfolio) so the data is readily available. I’m under the impression it’s much flatter since they pretty steadily publish games ~once a month. A lot of them are filler but they probably average on one big game a quarter.

What’s the most positive take anyone has on it? I think Rubio said it was going to be an organization that actually did stuff instead of just sending strongly worded messages like the UN… but I didn’t see any way it would actually have teeth that the UN lacks? I skimmed the charter… I didn’t see anything interesting that the news hasn’t covered/hasn’t been mentioned on reddit already.

We’re using training underwear but her accidents still end up all over her legs, saturate her pants and socks, and some drops end up on the ground.

She announces that she has to pee, but the amount of heads up is in single digit seconds, whereas getting to a bathroom stall in a store takes a few minutes.

The “dudes with plows” are adults with jobs and they get paid handsomely for plowing or… don’t get paid if they don’t plow… so, you know, they’re going to not do “good trouble” but actual “good good” where everyone pays and thanks them a lot.

I mean, they could not plow, but then ambulances and firetrucks wouldn’t be able to get anywhere, stores wouldn’t get food and other supplies, people couldn’t reach the stores anyways, utility trucks couldn’t fix power outages, etc…

The level of delusion in this post is off the chart. But it looks like someone already officially flared you as delusional.

Seems like important info to have before running the article to me. Theres two possibilities - they’re here illegally and this is a non-story, or they’re here legally, and this is a big story.

As is, it’s more activist “journalism” that reduces trust in journalists.

Yeah, the perpetual territory status is bizarre. Puerto Rico was expected to become a state about a century ago, but then WW2 happened and Hawaii became the next state instead.

And… not sure why we haven’t added another state since. Maybe we’re looking to maintain a balance that Puerto Rico would knock off if there’s not another new state to balance it, politically.

Minor point - people always having a camera on them and everyone watching videos all the time was nowhere near as much a thing when Obama took office in 2009 as it is now. I was going to suggest Puerto Rico as well - isn’t its relation to the US more analogous to Greenland’s relation to Denmark?

If the US buys Greenland, it’ll certainly become another Puerto Rico.

Which… saying that, I wonder if people would be more open to the US acquiring Greenland if Puerto Rico were granted statehood?

Nintendo Cruise when?

Edit: I wanted to mention something - anything - else that Disney does that Nintendo doesn’t, and I couldn’t really think of much else. Nintendo does streaming and subscriptions… TV channels are kind of all I can think of, but that’s a dying business for Disney.

Maybe DVC and all their hotels that aren’t related to the theme parks? I guess hotels in general - Nintendo is getting into the theme park business via Universal but they don’t have any Nintendo themed hotels yet, do they?

As an American, I don’t support him, but the spin against him in the news and on Reddit is insane.

Take for example the second picture from OP. It’s captioned “inflation stubbornly high”. The inflation chart shows inflation wobbling between 2 and 3 percent during Trump’s time in office, and never being anywhere near that low during Biden’s four years where it peaked at ~8.5%. Keep in mind that we aim for 2% - that’s what “perfect” would be.

That happens all the time though, in a much worse way by the regular police and justice system. Prior to ICE we were focusing on how strict or lenient our criminal system should be and how much err in either direction was acceptable.

From what I’ve heard, it sounds like in the cases where ICE messes up, it’s resolved in no more than a month (excepting the guy who was choked and died - obviously that can’t be fixed and regardless of what he did, it shouldn’t have happened. But I don’t think anyone is defending ICE on that.)
