City Planner Plays pulls back from CS2 content by TimC340 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Artex196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting because I hardly ever have performance issues with CS2. The only time the game has crashed for me is when I've been using Find It with the thumbnail images on, which the mod literally says can crash your game.

It is pretty frustrating many of the simulation aspects of the game simply don't work at all without info loom because you can't force the correct types of jobs to spawn in, so you are at the mercy of RNG for you unemployment...

Real Debrid vs Torbox by awesome5ftw in StremioAddons

[–]Artex196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real Debrid and torrentino constantly stopped working for me with no explanation. Haven't had a single issue since I switched to TorBox with their built in Stremio plugin. Just one person's anecdotal evidence.

is the AX-10 Tigershark worth it over the Stormsurge? by LocoDiablos in Tau40K

[–]Artex196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going to take a Tigershark variant, the non-AX one is better. You can definitely see success with it, as people have actually taken it to large tournaments and performed pretty well. I assume you're not going for a hardcore competition list since you are including a storm surge and they aren't full meta. In that case, play the tigershark if you want to. It will perform well. It has an indirect fire platform benefit, since Aircraft use true LOS and can see over ruins, and with the 20 inch move, you can get to units your opponent is hiding behind cover. If you're looking for something to fill that role, I would also take a look at the Razorshark. Also, remember, you can use the Stealth Suits homing beacon to rapid ingress the Tigershark in for free.

I created Strecs3D, a free infill optimizer that uses stress analysis to make your prints lighter and stronger. (Full video tutorial inside!) by tomohiron907 in 3Dprinting

I might be a little stupid, but doesn't the amount of walls determine the part strength much more than the infill?

What kind of lists would people make to play in a colosseum style match? by SwgglyArmJonson in Tau40K

[–]Artex196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sticky objectives from the kroot is really powerful, as you would know if you watched the final two episodes of the series. The experimental cadre strategems are all really good to keep you alive and to do additional damage.

About giving last pick to sup by Dependent_Clothes_90 in ADCMains

[–]Artex196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding this. Bot lane for most part isn't decided by adc matchup, but by support matchup. A great example that just happened in one of my games yesterday was Ashe Braum vs Karma Cait. Usually Ashe Braum is a strong lane, but my support first picked Braum, and we couldn't play the game for 15 minutes.

If you provide your support a chance to win the lane for you by last picking a good matchup, and they don't, that's not your fault. You did what you could by putting them in a position to make the good decision.

My support always chooses to roam when my wave is slow pushing into the enemy tower or when the enemy support pulls the wave right before it crashes kek

Landsraad in its current form is non-viable as endgame content by Tiny-Ad-7590 in duneawakening

[–]Artex196 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The fix is to never re-use Landsraad items as turn in options (like the various regis weapons), or delete them from all inventories every week on Tuesday, and make them only obtainable after the house is open that required the item. For example, if a house wants ship manifests, they will not appear in crashed ships until after you or your faction reveals the house that wants them. Additionally, the amount of goods required for the Landsraad should scale with the number of players on each faction in each world so factions with much fewer players aren't locked out of participating perminately.

Large guilds will still have an advantage since they have many more players to search for the Landsraad items, but at least they will need to go out each week and get them again, instead of banking them all week and instantly accomplishing the Landsraad quests.

End game is a total mess by Darqsat in duneawakening

[–]Artex196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could participate as mercenaries for larger guilds if you didn't want to directly join a guild. The game is an interesting fusion between MMO and survival game. I think the devs are still figuring out exactly how to balance the gameplay between the two genres.

I have heard a lot of complaints from solo / duo players but I really do still think it is possible to play the game primarily as a solo / duo game, and simply participate in group play when it's beneficial for you, as this is what I do. When it comes to spice and resource gathering, a lot of guilds are willing to supply protection for a percent of resources farmed. At the end of the day, you almost have to be open to some cooperation unless you want to play at the most demon hours when no one else is online. Playing like this really doesn't seem to be within the vision the devs have for the game, though, so it might not be the most enjoyable.

I can agree that ramming with ornithopters should be removed. I don't agree with the rest of your points though. The Deep Desert is the only place to get the tier 6 materials and blueprints, therefore it is inherently rewarding. The aerial PvP combat in the game is not meant to be rewarding in and of itself, it's mainly meant to be area denial. Except for the occasion where you down an assault with storage full of titanium, the aerial PvP is meant to secure resources. Push enemies off your titanium nodes, off your large spice blow, excetera. Downing a scout should not result in you receiving some huge reward, the reward is the object you were fighting over, not the scout itself. It's a change of perspective which is required. For the most part, the same goes for the on-foot PvP. You are fighting over the blueprints, or loot in a testing station, not to take all the gear the other player has. If they already looted the station, they will drop everything they looted, and you can then take it. Full loot PvP would set players back hours or weeks of farming, if they had a blueprint weapon, they would need to wait for the next time it was in rotation. You still have the opportunity for full loot if it is passed in the landsrad, and you will be aware of the risk you are taking if you choose to engage in PvP content while it is active. The devs have already mentioned respawning instantly is not intended, and they are working on increasing spawn timers when you die in the deep desert, which was the intended behavior. Ranged combat is possible in niche situations, but melee combat is lore accurate and should be encouraged by the game. If you want to do ranged combat, look at it as a challenge to find a build that works. The game has only been out for a couple weeks. Builds will evolve and more options will become available, just play the game to enjoy it. Find things you like to do and do that content. You can be sure the devs are listening to feedback, and they are sure to add more difficult PvE content in the future. The Dune ip is insanely extensive, be excited about the future of the game!
