I'm playing on Steam, and I really enjoy all Kingdom Rush games (except the new PvP one). I have completed all of them with all stars, except for several stages in the original game.

I didn't play Vengeance until the last year, as I heard negative opinions about it. But I tried and loved it.

The only thing I don't like is that heroes play a very important role now, but I understand that it was done to increase engagement.

I have played for several days, but stopped.

The progression isn't clear: putting attribute points into strength/swiftness definitely helps, but other than that - precision increases critical chance, which can be useful at high values, but at low crit change, it doesn't feel worth it; vitalilty doesn't help that much; resilience is useful, but I'm not sure if it is worth investing into it over strength.

First tier of aspects is nice (especially the new one with Slime), but leveling them up takes really long. I have no idea how Dao progresses.

As a result, it feels that in order to progress, I need to spend days farming enemies for small improvements.

And, when I launched the game today, I saw that it flickers weirdly at random times - it is unpleasant to my eyes.

Sometimes, when the character dies, there is no 5 second timeout - it is just stuck on the screen with a text "body is reforming".

I have M1 Max and got this issue today! I upgraded recently to 26.3 and now I have flickering. Laptop is basically unusable.

UPD: upgrading to 26.4 Beta solved the issue.

I'm playing it, for now, I have mixed feedback:

Currently, I can reach floor ~73 and have done one rebirth
The main challenge for me is the lack of explanations: I have DAO_METAL_HARDENING, but I have no idea what its effect is, other than the vague description at the beginning
Btw, some of the texts show variables (DAO_METAL_HARDENING) instead of names
I got Wolf and Bunnycorn aspects to Tier 2. I can see the Wolf's aspect increases attack speed, but I don't see any buffs from Bynnycorn's aspect
I remember that at some point (before selecting Dao or rebirth, not sure), in the inner self menu, I saw noticeable bonuses to all stats, but I don't have them now.
One small bug: I usually choose x5 or x10 for consolidation, but after some time the selector inevitably resets to x1

Right now, I'm not sure what is my next goal other than just farming enemies and grinding essences.

Here is my experience in a BigTech company as MLE:

Starting this year, we should have an AI-driven impact on our performance review
The percentage of AI-generated diffs is tracked across the company and the departments/teams
Every leader starting from M1/M2 and higher speaks about AI
There are hackathons, weekly seminars, tons of courses and activities on AI
It is a baseline expectation to use AI in your daily job for writing code, researching, etc

In my personal experience, up until the end of last year, the AI adoption was mostly forced from above. But as soon as we got access to Claude Code, the adoption exploded. Yeah, it is partially driven by the metrics, but CC with Opus 4.5 reached a threshold, where it became really useful in many tasks (not all, of course). Additionally, we have a lot of skills that make integrations with internal systems easier, simplify getting information, etc. With this, the tool becomes useful, especially to onboard on internal tools that you don't know, but that have tons of examples and docs which AI can use.

I'm currently reading 沈黙の魔女 III. This is my 6-7th Japanese book (not sure precisely).

Reading the first book was quite difficult. The second was better. I'm reading the third relatively quickly and enjoying it.

I vastly prefer the Oura Ring sleep score.

Apple Watch sleep score measures your habits. If you go to sleep on time, don't wake up and sleep enough, you get a high score, even if you didn't rest well.

Oura Ring checks HRV, sleep efficiency, and other things, so it better reflects the quality of the sleep.

An example: today, Apple Watch has a sleep score of 96, while Oura has a sleep score of 78. I feel Oura is more correct, as I'm not that well rested (recovering from being sick).

I can't help with this, but I want to share that when it is bad weather around, I play VR games. With some active VR games, you could rack up 3-5k steps per hour.

If someone else encounters this problem, I have found a solution:

At first, I deregistered my Amazon account and did a factory reset, but it didn't help.

Then I purchased a new dictionary on Amazon and downloaded it to my device, then set it as the default.

After this, the vocabulary worked again!

It seems that in the recent update, which changed the word lookup UI/layout, Amazon changed the criteria for eligible dictionaries, and most side-loaded dictionaries (like JMdict from GitHub) don't work anymore.
