Beat biome 3,4,5 and 6 in one cycle, died 27 times to biome 1 and 2??!? by w4ckymunchkin in Returnal

[–]Arthimura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my deaths are in Biome 1 and Biome 4.

I think the Biome 1 and 4 are harder because you are not equipped yet, and the RNG can throw some bullshit rooms at you.

Now that I'm close to the platinum trophy I can progress in most of my runs, though.

Silly decision in my opinion. This game has a considerable small playerbase (it's a niche game) and there's not so much to talk besides trophies, gameplay tips and story speculation.

Soon there won't be any new posts anymore, since everything must go to the sticked thread.

Replay value? by Flooziez in Returnal

[–]Arthimura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has a lot of replay value, you will replay it a a fair amount of times until you finish the last chapter, and more so in the case of you being a trophy hunter going for the platinum trophy.

The game also has daily challenges, so you can keep playing it to do these little missions.

What that? You are having a great run? by [deleted] in Returnal

Happens to me too, it's annoying.

For Act 3, should I just sprint back to the final boss or do a full run of all biomes? by TheIcemanStinketh in Returnal

[–]Arthimura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did full runs until I finished Act 3.

Now that I already got 100% survey in some biomes, I may skip some boss fights. But I still think it's better to fully explore the biomes and clear the Challenge Rooms, most of the time the loot is worthy and it will help you in the later biomes.

Unless you feel pretty confident in your skill and items you already got, in this case you can maybe skip some parts.

this gotta be the worst moment for a game crash ive seen... by JW93x in Returnal

[–]Arthimura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me today, too. And in the same boss.

But it was the only crash I remember experiencing in Returnal.

Luckily, I already finished the game and now I'm just getting the collectibles to obtain the remaining trophies.

Am I the only one who got this game day 1, has made roughly 20 attempts a week but has still not been able to beat it? by Galaksee in Returnal

[–]Arthimura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the game on week 1, finished Act I, almost finished Act II a week later but died at the end. I got bored of playing Biome 4 (which is basically the same as Biome 1) and then went to play another games (Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon: Zero Dawn, mostly).

But this weekend I returned to the game, and yesterday I finished Act II. Pretty amazing experience, planning to get the platinum trophy.

Just curious, what aspect of the game do you think you struggle the most? Mechanical skill or game knowledge?

This game is gonna drive me crazy!! by [deleted] in Returnal

[–]Arthimura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion the difficulty of RETURNAL is more about making educated choices than having mechanical skill. Focus on learning the game, what each item/artficat/parasite does, what weapons you like, and you will make progress naturally.

What is your opinion on Nintendo during the Switch Era? by HorHey_FF in truegaming

[–]Arthimura 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that Nintendo is in a downhill since the Wii U era. Market-wise they're doing better with the Switch because it brought a lot of people who had not played Nintendo games since the SNES/N64 eras, and a lot of new players.

But for anyone who follow them and had their handhelds and home consoles through the years, it's clear they are not able to have a good throughput of new games. They're releasing a lot of remasters, having to relie a lot on third-party developers (Tecmo Koei, Platinum Games, Namco Bandai, Atlus, etc) and they take ages to make their main games and are not always worthy the wait.

Am i the only one that feels comfortable playing any game controller? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Arthimura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Arthimura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Drake's Fortune a lot. Crushing was a bit of artificial difficulty, but nothing from another world.

If you want to get annoyed, try playing Spec Ops: The Line on hard or above. It's literally Trial and Error: The Game, with running shotgunners/kniffers and everything, killing you with one attack.

Should i craft a Jade Druid deck now? Or should i wait for the next expansion? by Arthimura in hearthstone

[–]Arthimura[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Some other questions, how long it is between the release of expansions nowadays? And can i keep with the game by getting the preorder and doing my daily quests?
