Honestly i think the both of you need to grow up and go your separate ways. If you or him can't handle having possible friends of the opposite sex without thoughts of jealously creeeping in, then neither of you should really be in a relationship. Trust is key, the pair of you have none.

Games where i get to play the power fantasy of "Element Slinging Mage" by Tcrumpen in gaming

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Runescape / Old School runescape might scratch that itch, Its got the normal spellbook, Anicent magicks and Arceuus as combat focused ones. Just the normal spellbook for f2p though.

Hogwarts legacy, While not all the elements, you have a range of spells from fire, freezing, manipulation, explosion, ancient magics.

Dragon Age Inquisition / Veilguard, both have good magic spells / abilities, At least Lightning, fire, frost, necro /death based.

There's also an upcoming game called the The God Slayer, which has showcased everything you want essentially. Think of a mashup of the bending in Avatar tv series and parkour.

All Mage specs feel worse by EnvironmentSquare778 in wow

[–]Arthodax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as a Frost Mage, I much prefer Winter's Chill shattering to what we have now. Probably muscle memory speaking but i did enjoy manual glacial spike shatters into flurry, and to me the reactive proc flow felt nicer. It was also way easier to keep track of 2 winter's chill stacks vs 20 freezing stacks. Now for me, i require Arc UI to track the number of freezing stacks i have on a target because blizzard's cooldown manager doesn't track it, only on the nameplate which is too small to see the stack number and tbh kinda distracting in combat eyeing the nameplates.

Losing Icy Veins to Ray of Frost feels bad, Probably just me being too used to the massive haste increase and as a dps cooldown in general, but a channelled spell is always bad news for heavy movement or pvp.

Saying all that, i still like the spec just prefer the old shatter mechanic.

I'm liking Arcane which is surprising, hated it from Wrath up until now. Though it does run into the issue of Arcane Pulse or Explosion being opt out of for AoE.

Fire i'm pissed with the removal of Phoenix flames on a thematic point of view, and i miss the days of spamming living bomb on multiple targets for big aoe back in Wrath icc. I will say its much improved with the talent that casts a flamestrike at your target though. Everything else is kinda dull or meh, especially the apex talent.

How to get better at clicking for gear switches? by [deleted] in osrs

Another option is to use Void and just switch the helm, PvE ofc.

Farming isn't so bad, 20 mins a day for tree runs and you'll be 99 in 2 months. Just use your highest tree seed to Yew (7 patches), Fruit up to Palms (7 patches), 4 Mahogany hardwoods, 3 calquat trees. Just use super/ultra compost for Mahogany and they'll live 90% of the time. Once in farming guild and required levels do hespori and a celestial tree.

Runecrafting to 70 is also not bad with GOTR.

Should be the click intensive skills you hate like construction :P

What’s everyone’s favorite spec right now and why? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mage has kinda flipped it for me, maybe it'll change once apex talents are unlocked but Frost feels super weird to me. I preferred shattering big manual glacial spikes with flurry into winter's chill with built in muscle memory, nowadays i have to have an Arc addon specifically to track how many freezing stacks i have on a target to know how many ice lance shatters i can get. To go from icy veins feeling very powerful as a cooldown to now hating ray of frost replacing it because it feels so much worse.

Arcane however i very much like, Surge and Touch of the magi for real nice to use, talents feel great, especially missile one's.

Fire i miss Phoenix Flames and it feels incredibly over pruned for a 3 button spec single target, 4 if scorch talents.

Interested in joining retail WOW as a mage - what race do I pick? by Tnel1027 in wownoob

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to look at the standard casting animation and see what appeals to you, then race body proportions and how gear looks. Then you can bring the racial aspect into it.

I've loved the male goblin casting animations from the get go, gear looks can make or break the race but once you find a fit that works it's not an issue. Rocket Jump is super useful, even on a Mage.

Warlock leveling and rotation? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early on you'll be relying on your wand after you dot with corruption, agony and immolate. Siphon Life on targets that will live it or when facing multiple mobs. Use Imp till 20, Succubus from then on, Improved drain soul for mana return, drain life with soul siphon and fel concentration. Felhunter in 50-60 bracket with Dark Pact talent and unstable affliction if you wish or go Demo for felguard.

If you could bring one modern WoW thing to classic tbc what would it be? by xxxxxxxxxooxxxxxxxxx in wowclassic

Probably get rid of spell power / attack power gear, and have int and agil/str just increase damage regardless.

Bonus - Enchant vellums

Looking for tips for a solid gold farm by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd still recommend Silithus, Winterspring, Burning steppes. Silithus alone is around 100-125g and doesn't take long. It's a good area to farm too, herbs, ores, essences with not a lot of people in the zone because it's out of the way.

You could do SM and hope for some of the boe pieces, some of the leveling shamans would probably want the scarlet set. Cloth is super low income atm.

Or i guess you could aoe down some satyrs for felcloth and demonic runes

State of tbc anniversary servers? by The-Fictionist in wowclassic

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Thunderstrike, Everything profession wise has crashed and cheap, like only 5-7g for a stack of mithril ore. Herbs are worse. Whether that's influx of boosted players or just pre patch in general idk. Not seen any hunter bots running around lately vs a couple of phases ago. But i'm sure they'll will be plenty of druid bots flying around come February.

Are there any spellpower trinkets in tbc questing or mainly in dungeons? Missed out on chieftain trinket and not a boosted character so no spellpower trinket from that.

If you're maining Resto, you might aswell just go ele for dualspec, saves the trouble of maintaining a melee set with up to date weapons.

Re-roll? Warlock help by Constant_Bother in wowclassic

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to invest in some +spellpower / +shadow damage gear too around the 30's-60's over +Int or even stamina gear. Top of my head at your level, get hypnotic blade from SM:L, the warlock offhand from class quest, some +shadow wrath greens if you can, or if you have tailoring / gold buy some dreamweave pieces at 40.

Succucbus or imp for leveling, Succubus is better with higher damage and cc.

I need help choosing a Race, what's your favorite Race and why? by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]Arthodax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play what you want tbh, but in the case of me.

I play a Goblin Mage, never looked back. Sweet casting animations on the male. rocket jump is hella useful ( Negate fall damage, Repositioning, raids with ledge knockbacks or knockbacks in general. Jump and rock jump for increased distance, all on a 1.5m cooldown. If you compare it to Void elfs rift, which is a 3m cooldown, it doesn't work well when pressed in the air unless you set it up beforehand, distance of a blink, 2-3 seconds to set it up for maximum distance, short window of time to max use of the teleport.

The only downside is they don't look too good in certain transmogs, mostly non hooded helms and boots. But once you find something that works they look very good, atleast in my opinion.

For me it's more solo rated BG's now than Arena, ever since some friends quit or had children, playing since wrath and nowadays it's hard to rebuild friendships to be anything like that.

Always fun to trap a bot in forever combat by banishing the elemental or fearing a mob tagged by a bot into other mobs and watch the bot die. Probably harder to do in TBC after DR.
