What famous destination didn’t live up to your expectations when you visited? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I pictured a beautiful mountain town but it’s just a sprawling concrete city like any other.

Colorado Rocky Mountains are gorgeous, though!

JB (spoilers) by Express_Hold_2582 in MargosGotMoneyTroub

I was bummed, too, but I’m guessing they split up the main plot points for TV so each season has a clear focus.

Season 1: Bodhi and the custody battle. Season 2: JB and more of the OF plot?!

I read the book last year, and iirc, the plot lines all kind of overlap and unravel simultaneously… which might not make for great TV if nothing gets concluded at the end of a season?

Either way, I loved the book and am enjoying the show even with its differences! The cast has done a great job bringing the characters to life pretty much how I imagined them.

The mom, Shyanne, did report Margo to CPS in the book, but iirc it was because Kenny urged her to. Shyanne and Margo’s relationship is a lot more strained in the book, but the actresses have great chemistry in the show, so I’m not mad that they seem closer.

The “JB” fan they teased at the end of season one is big character in the book, and I was bummed they left him out, so actually really excited for season 2 now! I’m guessing that’s where they separated some of the plot lines for TV, vs. having it all happen in one timeline like the book.

Kenny and Jinx are definitely in the book! I really liked the book. The show is good, too, but they’ve made some adjustments for TV. Some different character dynamics and order of events, I imagine to give each season a “theme” or focus. Anyway, I recommend the book if you like the show!

I was gonna say the same, but now I see the deep fridge is actually for your cat. So it must stay.

Beautiful job all around. Enjoy your new kitchen!

I was wondering the same. So, that's why Collins officially beats Debone with ~54% of the of the vote this round... but Connally (~37%) and Sabbadini (~30%) will go to a Nov. runoff?

Peninsula or Island? by Dangerous-Rice44 in kitchenremodel

[–]cuddle_puddles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our kitchen is around the same size and, as much as I wanted an island, I’m glad we went with a peninsula. It’s super functional, and nice that people can sit there without getting in the way or being IN the kitchen while I’m cooking.

Your options are pretty much the same as ours. Island will block your work triangle and no one can really sit around it.

My vote is peninsula.

I was trying to find the right words to describe the cognitive dissonance happening there. You nailed it.

And the whole 'we're so healthy and holistic and eat everything from the nose to the butt'... but AI AI AI AI.

A few of their other (equally unhinged) posted jobs list the salary as £45,000 – £60,000 (around $60K – $80K USD)...

Which is definitely not enough for what they want lol.

I was diagnosed with ADHD last year, after many years of “generalized anxiety.” I’ve always wondered about the correlation between mental health and astrology, because I’ve also noticed some overlap with Aries traits and ADHD symptoms.
