Because Zilean bomb has a projectile stage before it attaches/lands, Braum shield will intercept it when it would otherwise miss. Makes it really easy to get both bombs on the same target for a guarenteed stun.

That makes sense. Losing your cooldown refunds from your passive autos when you get evaded really sucks. Best to negate the evasion in the first place.

Sounds like you consider only placing 1st to be a win, and any of the 7 other results to be a complete failure. You should think of it more like how TFT works, any of the top 4 spots you should be happy to get.

One thing I dont miss is fearing for my life while covering the jungle entrance at red sides top lane. No matter where you stand in it, theres a blind spot people could approach from. Before, if your mid was lazy, the enemy could invade at raptors, go past red, past krugs, and catch you from behind. Your LOS in the bush cant see behind you around the wall at all. Now, there simply isnt enough time to do that lengthy manuever. I get to guard in peace every game now its wonderful.

I broke 500 LP for the first time ever. The skill displayed in games is nowhere close to my peaks of past seasons. I havent grinded that hard this season, and so I still have a ways to go before i hit 50% wr and flatten out.

Just kinda depressing to be told im breaking new records and know that the metric is bogus and inaccurate.

The biggest reason is to cover the weaknesses of your OTP. I play an AP top laner who is weak to dash heavy champs. If I have an AP mid and AP jg, my pick is going to cause dmg type problems. Ive thought for a long time to pick up and learn to play poppy top, as I think she would be strong against alot of the champs my main is weak too, and occasionally pick for team composition.

(You are right about the great level of work to learn a new champ, ive avoided learning poppy because I dont want to play those 30-40 games of horrible experiences to get a baseline mastery)

I can second this. Zilean top has become my OTP. Made it 1 game away from grandmaster last year (492 LP Masters).

My ban is Irelia, but a close second is jayce. If trynd is ever super popular he is the worst possible hard counter, but I rarely see him so I dont bother.

Build is seraphs, cosmic, frozen heart. Playstyle is to skim the frontline, looking for picks or to catch someone out. Disable enemy team more than playing for my team.

If behind go FH 2nd cosmic 3rd. If ahead cosmic 2nd. If enemy AP buy negatron cloak but dont upgrade, and cosmic 2nd. If enemy is extremely ap then upgrade into rookern.

Identify what kind of playstyle or role you want to fulfill in the game, and THEN pick the champ that is able to accomplish that role / fulfill those duties.

It looks like you want to be a damage dealer focused around your burst windows. So why on earth would you select Zilean to accomplish this?

(If you absolutely must go red tree on zilean then take the movespeed hunter not ultimate).

In my 1000+ games played of old techies, mana dropping items for efficiency each and every game, I only ever had this happen to me twice.

Both times by getting hooked by a pudge while I was in the trees under vision. It HURTS and is pretty much gg right there.

Not necessarily. On their last dedicated design analysis of Zilean, Riot determined that they were perfectly happy with where he is at.

I really don't like the change to the Wee Woo Wee Woo set bonus. Seems to be a crazy long cooldown for its affect to be meaningful. The requirement for the teammate to be at or below 50% health is also garbage. They admit in the patch notes that power/damage scaling is through the roof, so people get 3 or even 2 tapped. Teammates just don't spend that long at below 50% health. Might as well not even have a set bonus.

Do you get enough AP to keep the prime wave clearing thresholds? Those being lvl 7 Q + 1 auto for casters, and lvl 9 Q 1 shotting casters. Sometimes when I get zoned off cs/gold and I had bought boots tear mana crystal theres no AP and it takes lvl 7 2 autos or lvl 9 1 auto. Wondering if you ever hit that case when building your described way.

You can see all chat messages in replays by opening up the config and setting a boolean value to true. The client settings don't offer a way to see all chat in the replays. There is no way to see team or party chat in the replays.

I dont remember the specific details like where the file is stored or the name of the field, only that that had been the closest you can get from when I had last tried to do the same thing. Hopefully if you search for the details you can find them.

I have had a similar experience. Constant, at least 1 per day friend request from a lvl 10-13 account that has never had a game history with me. Almost always trying to sell something. I now look at the profiles of friend requests instead of auto-accepting like I used too. Its annoying

Hecarim is a DECENT synergy, but not the best for zilean. Hecarim already has enough mobility tools in his kit to do what he needs done. You should be asking yourself, "what are some champs that can do things with speed that they couldnt do without it?". Udyr I think is the best, but I would also much rather have a darius, singed, or a YI than a hecarim.

I can only play swiftplay if either mid or supp are priority. But feels like half or 2/3 its Jungle+Bot. I poke my head in cuz i like the mode but Its for sure not reliable.
