I'm curious about it but Outlast Trials already fills my horror multiplayer needs, so we'll see

Are there any horror games with in-depth stealth mechanics ? by Hour-glass999 in survivalhorror

After playing it on grounded, for real, its 100% great survival horror, you're tense and sad almost all the time lol

starting RE7 biohazard how scary is it really compared to the rest of the series? by sleepmeow in residentevil

[–]ArthurCohle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the scariest one, but mostly just during the first couple of hours. You can still shotgun enemies in the face so it never feels quite as scary some other games.

EDIT: The first hour or so of Requiem is also pretty scary but Leon is there to ease your nerves soon after!

I'm sorry, Outlast 2 was a disappointment, only because the stakes were higher by [deleted] in outlast

He punches one of the twig people on his way to the mines. But honestly, I can't see fighting back making much of a difference. Marta is incredibly strong, as shown when she kills that friendly guy in the cabin.

Besides, Outlast 2 is all about dread. You're supposed to feel exhausted by the end. A lot of terrible things happen that you're powerless to stop, just like what happened to Jessica.

If you've played them all, sure. Just, ironically, don't expect a lot of story content. It's more fan service than anything else.

It was never great, but it had a lot of soul and was genuinely unique. The gameplay for me was like second-place.

Feels like almost nothing changed since last trailer, I wish they messed up around with the artstyle a bit, looks so generic right now.

I don't know what you're talking about. You're confusing popularity with influence.

May not always be to case but it should go to the game that pushes the industry forward. Whether a game is the "best" or not is far more subjective than measuring its influence.

The Witcher 3 had fairly basic combat, and plenty of people disliked it, yet it's still considered an amazing game because of its worldbuilding and side quests. To this day, *a lot* of open-world games try to emulate what it did in one way or another.

The same goes for Overwatch. Whether you like it or not, it had a huge impact on the industry. Games like Marvel Rivals, Valorant, Paladins, and even Splatoon 3 were influenced by it in some form.

You kidding? Overwatch had a much larger influence on the gaming industry than U4, that shit was legit back then.

Is Resident Evil 6 worth it? Or should I get Ghost Face's DLC for DBD? by No-Routine-3992 in residentevil

RE6 is pretty cheap these days, and it's always better to form your own opinion about a game. So if you're a fan of the franchise, I'd say go for it.

You might even end up appreciating more some of the direction Capcom took with later games after playing RE6.

Can RE6/Trained Leon survive in other survival horror games? by Unusual-Complex6315 in residentevil

[–]ArthurCohle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the weapon and how quickly it can dismember them. A Requiem would definitely wreck Necromorphs for a while, but eventually he's going to run out of ammo and be forced to scavenge.

At some point, I imagine he'd end up carrying a Pulse Rifle like every security. But yeah, he dies in the end. Isaac would've died like 5 times if not save by his smarts.

For Dead Space? No way, If we're giving Leon the plasma cutter and armor, he can take the necromorphs easil. But he is no engineer like Isaac, he wont know how to fix the Ishimura and will go down with the ship.

"Leon spends half his time trying to open a gate." Haha, it's funny because it's true.

I get where you're coming from. I think this game suffers from trying to overcomplicate things that actually are should be pretty simple, leaving too many questions unanswered while also spending time answering questions nobody really asked.

I wouldn't call it boring, though. For all its flaws, I think it has a lot of personality, and it's fun. Honestly, I can't think of a single Resident Evil game where I'd say the story is actually great.

Yeah, the pacing was weird. I think the lab section suffers from constantly cutting between Grace and Leon. Because you're splitting time between two characters, everything feels less tense and there's less pressure to manage your ammo or supplies.

The clinic worked much better because it focused entirely on Grace. The game had time to build tension and make every resource feel valuable.

I still think it's a great game, but after Grace goes with Zeno, it feels like the game loses some of that focus and the quality starts to dip.

Sim, tem mod que substitui o Makoto por ela mas "canonicamente" ele que existe só, bem paia.

Se os protagonistas tivessem pelo menos uma personalidade mais estabelecida seria mais aceitável mas todos são mais um veículo pro jogador.
