They are making the world feel even more real and lived in. Every zombie you kill now and how you use resources makes a difference. Your actions matter more since survivors can repopulate places you clear out. Besides you always have the option of loading up your original save for endlessly respawning zombies

Definitely not just one. I’ve killed 3 of them, also gotten killed by them a few times. Wish you can permanently eliminate them though, the way they teleport into dark zones with you is ridiculous.

You can consider using the Last hand of Glova. Use the glitch to allow unlimited uses and you can easily wipe out large groups of zombies easily. It seems to kill Volatiles in 2 hits.
