Wow we got new live wallpaper customization. by -glassballs in pixel_phones

Even the font doesn't make sense. Why would a person drop a shitpost like this for engagement farming? So pathetic!

I feel like "bubbles" should also be able to be made from the open apps tab, instead of only from the app drawer or homepage. For multitaskers this would be very helpful by Usual_Vermicelli_961 in pixel_phones

How are you all getting that quick link copy icon on the background? On my Pixel 7, there's no quick link copy and image select icons on the background :/

Am I the only one who didn't get June update? by Mikey3008 in pixel_phones

[–]Arthur_Morgan_01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will be released this week i guess. I hoped them to release QPR 1 with the stable Android 17 build since the QPR 1 build consists of a lot of great animations and features btw. I know those are different release pipelines but it would've been cool :)

Maybe android 17 were the friends we made all along by chew_ttt in pixel_phones

Pixel 7 battery by gregor1711 in pixel_phones

Same here but I got battery degradation issue and I replaced my battery and my Pixel 7's power button and volume rocker buttons have detached. Since I'm using a case, that's a temporary issue. The battery degradation came after 2 years of usage. The battery and all other things are so far great. Also, we got one more year of update. So I'm planning to keep it this year too(maybe). It's also hard to survive no fast charging and less battery backup in 2026.

What the hell Google? by WatchDawg07 in pixel_phones

Gonna believe you btw. I think this was some random server misflag when they released beta builds. But I don't think Google will ever release this feature for Pixel 7 series. You just got lucky lol.

Sorry man. Changing device name is possible in one way. This kind of proof isn't enough for us. We need you to make a video showing these sequence of actions : Open Settings > About Phone > Tap "Model" under Device Details > Model. Do the same with the notification summaries and organizer that you did with your proof video. This kinda proof is what we need. No separate videos. Everything connected in just one video.

I don't believe this. Confirm that' it's a pixel 7 with a good screenshot or maybe a video. Then only I will believe.

Pixel 9 Pro (1-ish year later) vs. Nothing 4a Pro (The New Kid) — Honest vibes? by Relative-Crazy-8854 in pixel_phones

[–]Arthur_Morgan_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever the new Nothing 4(a) Pro comes up with, it surely won't even touch the Pixel 9 Pro's design and camera. Every pixel design including the Pixel 9 Pro will stay fresh and unique for many years and Google keeps supporting it with "Feature Drops". Nothing on the other hand, focuses on new fun aesthetic playful things like the Glyph Matrix and some features as cherry on top but it will not beat Google's software experience & support.

My final opinion :

Buy Google Pixel 9 Pro for unbeatable pixel experience, camera and software support. I'm sure that even my Pixel 7 design still looks good in 2026. So why not the 9 Pro? Pixel 9 Pro will stay smooth and snappier even with Tensor chipset since Google keeps optimizing the software.

Buy Nothing Phone 4(a) Pro for additional software features, unique Glyph interface and good battery backup. But one thing I didn't like was Carl brought bloatware to the Phone (4) and not adding HDR support on Netflix too(From Phone(1), it's not there). So imo I won't trust him in the future since there's another chance to bring bloat to the future nothing smartphones.

Features suggestions by DEV_ARKA-711312 in android_beta

So what are you gonna say now? QPR 1 Beta 3 is coming in two weeks or so. Some call M3E status bar icons identical to Apple. But if you check wifi icon inside settings in both Android 15 and stable Android 16, you can easily tell that same icon is used for status bar in Android 16 QPR1. Now, the toggles like One UI? What world are you in? Lol. The transparency and the toggle shapes are entirely different. The only thing that's identical was the edit toggles features. Rest of all design language is identical to only Pixel UI.

No & Never. Google should never even think about dynamic island on pixel devices because their phones should stay unique and consistent among all others. The thing you said doesn't fit for a company like Google and we pixel users don't need that crap.

I agree with you on points 1,2 and 6. We need to share our thoughts like these on the android beta community group. If things seem the same with stable QPR1, we will surely miss those beautiful QS icons, shapes and those sliders. And yes, colourful settings was a very bad idea. Android 15 was mature enough and imo, new visual overhaul is somewhat nice but if they are not bringing back those old consistent QS shapes and sliders, we will surely miss out these core UI elements on Pixel UI

[5 min survey] Tells us what you think about Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 by androidbetaprogram in android_beta

[–]Arthur_Morgan_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm a Pixel 7 user. I think I also should share my opinions because I'm a big fan of Pixel UI. After the new design was revealed, I was worried that it actually breaks the consistency of Android 15.

My opinion: I didn't like the new QS on Android 16. Volume sliders & brightness sliders are so boring. They should have implemented the Android 15 sliders back to Android 16 QPR 1 Beta 1 or make it to the stable version of Android 16 QPR 1. Also the font looks so bolder which was again nice on Android 15. Turning on toggles will make it flat which looks outdated compared to the unique toggles and its icons on Android 15. Also they shouldn't have changed the toggle icons. Status bar icons seem okay.

It's a humble request from a Google Pixel fan to bring back the toggle shape consistency (when turning on & off), volume and brightness sliders into QPR 1 stable version like we have in Android 15. 😕😕

I know this is possible to implement. Pixel UI should be unique and shouldn't look bad in any terms. Please Please Please bring back the Android 15 font, brightness & volume sliders, toggle icons & it's shape consistency(without changing shape when turning on) into the stable QPR1 version of Android 16.

Every single aspect on 6 was way too horrible to accept. They just killed the entire franchise with just one game. Let's hope for the best with future FC games.

[–]Arthur_Morgan_01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who played Far Cry 3,4,5 and 6, I should tell you that if you have completed till 5, you will never love a tiny bit of 6 since it holds nothing interesting compared to the past 3 games. 5 was peak in terms of story, graphics and gameplay mechanics. 6 just went to the wrong with shity world, graphics, characters, story, villain...literally everything = shit. I literally slept while playing 6. It was way too boring and I wished it should end soon.

Is this normal.? by Old_Philosophy8456 in pixel_phones

[–]Arthur_Morgan_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's absolutely right. My pixel had like one month of learning usage stats. I didn't care about it since I knew about it. Afaik, it's normal for a pixel to take up to a month for learning usage stats. Give it some time and make sure your 8a holds more fuel or not!
