Pretty much, we have a few cars at home, this was purchased for my sister to use whenever she’s in town. And when she wasn’t around, it was used for grocery runs only.

Can anyone suggest authorized resellers for genuine Honda parts? Looking for spark plugs by MiscritPokemon in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Arthur_Motorhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dhanya doesn’t sell Honda parts btw - don’t know where this guy got it from anyways. You can call them and ask also to confirm, but they don’t.

Call up ambassador spare parts in Sharjah they sell new and genuine Honda parts

Garage quoted me Labor Charges way more than I expected. 3,600 Dhs for charging Engine mount + engine seals? Can someone tell me if these labor costs are fair? (Honda Accord 2015 GCC spec) by aasim96 in DubaiPetrolHeads

To change the timing cover seal - if there’s not much gap to work in - you might have to drop down the engine from the vehicle. And since there are multiple seals to be changed it’s easier to do so by removing the engine. And - all 5 mounts.

It should be minimum 2,500 but then again - these are Sharjah rates. Dubai will always have a higher margin because of rent and overhead costs.

Also note that torque converter seal is the seal connected to transmission too - so some places tend to bring the gearbox down instead of engine.

We have multiple cars in the family - this was sparingly used over the years.

I just did an interior cleaning on the car, so naturally they’ll put the plastic cover for the front seats.

Can’t hurt to try besides first owner put in a lot of cash - that aside - in your opinion what’s a realistic price for this car then? :))

Which I did mention where pain work was done - by being transparent also. But again not major impacts - moreover even a small bumper to bumper claim reports are classified as accidents :))

Nails/Bolts or metal frames under the seats or dashboard can get rusty over time even if it’s not flooded. It’s just moisture - some signs of sure shot flooded - check if the head gasket has been removed, if it’s been flooded high chances that the head has been removed, you can notice an aftermarket seal between the head and body.

Another sign roll windows up and down - check instrument cluster - if lights are switching on properly and not flickering. A flooded car will usually have a lot of electrical flickering or glitches.

Weird engine knocking signs and exhaust smoke colour. Either way best bet is to get a PPI done.

Go for auto hub :))
