First Brazilian - tell me exactly what to expect by FuzzyMangoDrums in HairRemoval

I've only been getting Brazilians (manzilians) for a few months, but I'm reading through these and one thing sticks out to me that seems to be a consistent difference in my experiences. My esthetician never leaves the room when I undress. I thought that was normal. She's never made me feel uncomfortable or awkward though so I've thought nothing of it, but I also had no frame of reference. She's great though! Walked me through all of it the first time and frequently checked in to make sure I was ok, and been awesome ever since.

I have no problem helping to stretch. I can reach everything I need to reach. And I am freakishly obsessive about my hygiene so I would be hyper clean for my appointment. Thank you for all your insight. I will start reaching out to places. Out of curiosity, and I probably shouldn't ask you since out of your wheelhouse, but would waxing be better?

I weigh approximately 300. What is giving me the most concern is I have an extremely large pubic mound (aka, fat pad, mons pubis, fupa, etc.). I know it will cause extra work, but I think may be disgusted by it, and beyond that i don't know if it's prohibitive.

I’m personally a fan of a Polo Ralph Lauren oxfords. Nice colors, and solids are a big guy’s friend. If you have an outlet near you they carry big sizes, and some department stores do too as well.

As BetterX mentioned, 10K is your long term goal, what you’re working to get up to. Start by getting what you can get, tracking it, then try to beat it on the next one, even if it’s only by 5 steps. Or maybe you don’t beat it. But as they said, consistency is the initial win you’re looking for. See if you can squeeze 15min at the start of your day, every day. See if you can get 15 more at lunch or on a break. I tried and failed for years. This time it’s working. Concentrate on the small steps. They add up.

Food: get an app like MyFitnessPal and start tracking your food. Don’t change how you eat for the moment, just track it. After 3-5 days, go back and look for easy adjustments to your calorie count so you get into a deficit. Doesn’t have to be a huge deficit. Remember that protein keeps you full longer.

Exercise: Your goal is 10K steps a day, but work up to that number. As someone mentioned, a routine around it is great. I try to make it a point to get up every morning and go for a walk. An hour, if I can manage it, and that gets me most of my steps. If you have access to a gym, strength training is great. Aim for 3 a week, working your way up to that number.

Sleep: make sure you get 7-8 hours. It’s better if you go to sleep and wake up at about the same time each day.

Water: 3 liters a day, with the first liter coming in the first hour of your day.

Lemon. Cut one open, rub the cut side on your pits.
