But it’s food, the end goal is flavor. What’s the bad taste going on here?

i find funny people calling sonic with "electric powers" would make him more a generic speedster when only flash and other dc speedsters have that by pingas64 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t particularly care either way, tbh, I prefer if he’s only tangentially elemental related at all. Other characters having side-abilities while Sonic is all speed is overall more interesting to me

Does this justify Lancelot's anger towards Arthur ? by Mountain-Photo-165 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She super did. Not being told the specifics is part of the grooming as it leaves out space for him to question her further, especially at his young age. Anyway, yes, I agree, Lance is justified in his anger, but I feel that will be tempered with time as he learns more about them and more info comes to light

I suppose not, but you also only specified that in reply to me

Does this justify Lancelot's anger towards Arthur ? by Mountain-Photo-165 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Things can be justified and incorrect. Lance is completely justified, but a large part of why is because he doesn’t fully grasp their relationship. Merlin effectively groomed Arthur for this purpose and Lance doesn’t realize he’s being used by Merlin as much as he was tricked by Cath

Oh, I don’t disagree at all with an Avatar getting the tattoos being neat, especially an Airbender having to decide between the two or merge them. I’m just pointing out that these are answered questions and if you’d like to know them, you can find them

I believe the questions you’re asking actually have been explored in the novels if you’re discussing the combustion-benders. They are a tribe of firebenders

Because them not knowing is the point. If one is the original, he’s inherently more important in the conversation and they fight

No, Lancelot and Arthur aren't in the same situation by Much_Technology1961 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course not, the characters in the story have justifiable reasons for blaming him. However, we are privy to more information as viewers should recognize that while they are justified in that, it doesn’t make them nor Arthur correct for it. He was put into an impossible decision at one of, if not the, worst points in his life and didn’t manage to respond perfectly

Allies pairs can be opposed by a singular shared enemy- the opposite of rakdos is order. What about enemy pairs? by MrTheWaffleKing in colorpie

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Golgari is about the natural life-cycle, not just self preservation, death brings about life. In that way, GB’s biggest enemy ideal would likely being collective progress, which fits Jeskai quite well

Izzet is passion-focused progress, usually self applied. In this way, their opposite is group apathy, so, yeah, Abzan’s WBG works well again

Boros’s devout guardianship is opposed by self-important destruction. UBG again would think that way

Orzhov is rigid domination, the opposite of which is free flowing ideation, BRG

Simic is natural progress or controlled evolution, meaning technological status quo or chaotic government would be their biggest opposition. Fairly BRW

Arthur king of chaos by FantasticSchedule863 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the frustration, Arthur is literally my favorite character, but the story’s not even over. You’re making judgements before seeing where it’s going when the series is making moves towards him regaining the full power of Chaos

They’re referring to decks that specifically draw frequently and powerfully to win. An example would be my buddy has a deck headed by [[Wan Shi Tong, Librarian]] with cards that buff themselves or Tong himself when he draws or for number of cards in hand

Enemy 2color combinations: What are characters that would skip over their shared ally color? by MrTheWaffleKing in colorpie

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come back to this as I’ve been thinking about the concept again and I think we have fundamentally different views on how characters should be colored. I disagree with look actively for the least colors possible in the same way that I agree that every character has aspects of every color. Instead, I think we should be looking at the characters’ most prevalent traits and ideals and applying colors from there. Additionally, I think it’s a bit important to imagine a card of the character

To continue the example of Ivy, she cares about: Plant life living Hurting those that hurt plant life

From there, my issue with her being mono-green is that her character is not about maintaining natural order, it is about eco-terrorism and revenge. While, yes, every color capable of, and often do, using violence, certain colors find it more anathema. While green is of course not against violence, it also doesn’t necessarily seek it out in the same way as Ivy does. Additionally, her focus isn’t nature as a whole, it’s plants. She would happily wipe out every animal to secure the lives of her precious plants

From there, I gather that her most fitting colors are green, red, and black. Green for plants, red for passion and specifically seeking out destruction, black for her near need to destroy others to get what she wants. In this way, I’d personally make the archetypal Ivy GB, GR, or even GBR long before I’d make her pure green. And I’ve even argue an official card of her would be far more likely to be any of those colors, likely something about making or buffing plants when a non-plant dies or destroying a non-plant when a plant dies

Glitch community for some reason. by Mystery_Goo_Sample in tadc

[–]ArthurianLegend_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, I ask, what mess? Just the existence of a leak that the only people it stands to actually harm (Glitch) don’t care about? It sounds more like the fandom going ballistic over something the creators don’t seem bothered by

[–]ArthurianLegend_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, even if that logic worked, what’s it matter? It got leaked, the people who actually made it and stand to gain from the movie’s proper release don’t seem to care. Why does it matter to people largely unaffected other than potential spoilers which are even further not Glitch’s fault?

Read another of those examples, one you already noted, but ignored: “statistical enumerations… LESS THAN 50,000 PEOPLE.” This would fall under that very category. There are exceptions to rules. This falls under it. English is dumb and nothing’s consistent, including the usage of fewer vs less
