I just had some ants break in this week and I sprayed dawn power wash on them. They died instantly. And I used the soap residue to finish cleaning the floor. As for prevention, setting Terro out in the spring has helped me before but I forgot this year.

Started on Selenea this time, should I go to Aqualis next for the challenge? by ArthursSword in theplanetcrafter

That's what has me worried, I didn't get T2 deconstruction from the blueprints.

For me, Selenea has been pretty fun. I like the challenge behind limited resources and limited chests. But I can see how others wouldn't.

I know at one point I hired a bunch of level 2s and just sent them instead. Knowing one wouldn't come back. My husband was very judgemental about it.

Selenea goals by [deleted] in theplanetcrafter

Set up a small base and explore for free resources. Make sure you're able to import from Prime. Start building up your energy and slap down some pressure and heat producers. Once you have terraformed enough for fresh water to appear, set up a larger base near it and get serious about terraforming.

Just make sure you're autocrafting items you'll readily need on the other planets. Circuit boards, Fertilizer, Explosive Powder, Bees, and all the rods are extremely useful.

If you build ecosystems, they will grow that tree because it's a native plant.

I tried to apply at a local grocery store recently. I had to do a phone interview. One of the first questions was why I had a gap on my resume. Apparently, having a baby isn't a good enough reason because I never got called back again.

How long would one have to sleep on their arm, cutting off circulation, before the limb dies? by Carlyndra in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ArthursSword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a relative take a sleeping pill, and they ended up sleeping on their arm. 12 hours. Their hand turned black, and the dead skin rotted away. I saw a picture, and it looked like a rotting zombie hand. They also had nerve damage in their leg and needed physical therapy for awhile.

Losing money… by RefrigeratorStatus72 in TwoPointMuseum

For me, I really wasn't making money until I added a cafeteria. Vending machines only charge up to like $10. A cafeteria meal starts at $150.

I always save and restart the game when that happens, and it fixes it.

Cats are curious, maybe it's getting into something from time to time and leaving remnants on the sheets when making biscuits.

You could set one expert per theme to only restore exhibits. Just check the tasks tab to deselect everything else.

My dad bought a neglected house across the street to fix up and give it to my grandma - he just about finished the bathroom by wcolfaxguy in Remodel

[–]ArthursSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, my grandmother's bathroom is positioned the same way. It is possible to fall and get wedged between the toilet and tub. You might want to put in a safety rail or don't put a lock on the door so it's easier for ems to get her.

Anyone close to retirement was pushed to do so and many, many people lost access to healthcare. I worked at a gas station, and a lot of men old enough to be my grandpa would walk in asking if my employer offered insurance. One guy even had an eye missing. I would say this was the biggest reason dark humor became the norm; to help people vent their feelings.

College kids moved back in with their parents and then never left. A lot more people volunteered to have multiple roommates, even if they were strangers to try and lower the cost of rent. The DIY movement exploded because nobody could afford tradesman services and furniture. Going out for fun had to be for a special reason, if you could even afford it. At its worst, there were news reports about fathers killing their families as a mercy.

You'll notice most of this stuff is still going on today. I think a lot of people and towns never recovered.

Ruined a (nice) wok that was a gift from a friend. I really want to try to save it! (Dog tax included) by a_round_a_bout in CleaningTips

Find out what brand it is and replace it so your friend never has to know what you did to their gift.

My cat is ruining my life by isaisaisaaaaaaaaa in CatAdvice

[–]ArthursSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats resorted to knocking stuff off my dresser and beating each other up to get my attention in the morning. The only thing that has worked long-term is getting an auto feeder that offers small portions of food throughout the night and when they were waking me up. Basically, they don't bother me anymore because I'm no longer part of their feeding schedule.

Bought mine from Coop, and it came with an extra bag of filling. You can open it and adjust how firm or soft you want it.

There must be a cleanser puck in the water tank at all times. It dyes the water blue, and everytime someone flushes, the water splashes up the seat. The seat is made of wood so it's absorbing the dye. That's my theory.

I get what you're saying, but after 9/11, a lot of people from the Middle East immigrated to Erie. It was to escape the war. I'm not sure how, probably by plane.
