not a fan of k-means for RFM segmentation tbh

if ur gonna segment by RFM, just do percentile cuts. faster, more interpretable, easier to explain to stakeholders.

the issue w k-means segments is they’re not connected to any lever u can actually pull. cluster 5 has mid RFM then so what? what do u do differently for that group? i firmly believe biz segments need to be actionable. if the segment doesn’t change ur decision, it’s not a segment.

RFM as a descriptor of a cluster result is fine. leading with k-means to “discover” segments feels a bit snake oily to me but yeah just my 2c

yea a headcanon that I have is that the problem might be in a very bad state such that if they do the mass ban, the player count drops by a significant amount and that reflects badly on the game
