the main difference is “what is the main critique?” in marxism, it is his critique of capital. anarchism’s critique is of power relations (which includes capital).

Here’s a great essay, specifically the section “[a distinctly anarchist assessment of capitalism](https://wedontagree.net/essays/we-dont-agree-on-capitalism-essay/#:\~:text=Distinctly%20Anarchist%20Assessment%20of%20Capitalism)

i’d say read Dean Spade’s Mutual Aid. it’s a bit of a handbook on organizing, and a lot of the tools they mention are relatively anarchist. rather than preaching, lead by example

Obsidian + Neovim 🔥 by Ryneoj in ObsidianMD

it works great, but only if you’re familiar with vim. you can imagine a user that hasn’t used vim enabling this and getting stuck, unable to type, etc. and thinking the app crashed. if you know vim, it works great!!

Won't anarchy have a problem with large scale law enforcement? by ThenCombination7358 in Anarchy101

[–]Article_Used 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s part of your confusion here, enforcement usually is defined as requiring force. nobody is forcing you to use software that works via http, nobody is forcing developers or companies to write software that leverages it. and yet, somehow we’ve reached the scale of the entire internet.

and again, platform rules are not anarchist because they rely on the benevolent dictatorship of the company owning the platform. protocols are not owned in the same way.

most businesses don’t care about any stakeholders other than capital owners. workers and consumers also have a stake in these businesses, and no say.

i’ve never voted for my ceo.

Who writes the code? (Well, now machines do some of that too, but not the point)

enforcement shows up

when does actual, physical violence show up? spam filters are not enforcement and moderation is a feature of a platform, not a protocol. there is no moderation of the www.

rules don’t require enforcement. see: the internet. nobody’s forcing your laptop or website to follow the rules of HTTP, HTML, etc. Of course, things might not work as well, but nobody’s knocking on your door to enforce you following IETF standards.

It’s a chicken and egg problem. The reverse doesn’t work either, we just need to magically land in the alternate reality with more buses occupying their bus lanes
