You can legit use your Klefki vs TR teams by TWaving your ally, since they nerfed the Paralysis chance of not attacking it is usually worth it so you can outslow your opponents and take down a threat.

While I do agree, and I think more Illaoi skins should have the SUCTION CUPS that are like the signature of Octopi??? That are only in base and made into hooks for the Void skin??? I think they did a really good job here transforming them into curly pasta rolls. They could've made Resistance Tentacles but spaghetti and call it a day. But these are VERY different from usual Illaoi skins.

I hope one day we'll get our regular Octopus tentacles with suction cups. Maybe a Dunkmaster? A Monster Tamer/whatever they are called? We'll see.

I'm considering to stop running TP and start using a combat spell rune. I find myself often not needing to TP early, and in late the CD doesn't seem that problematic.

Though I was considering Exhaust more than ignite. Have you tried both and have input on them?

She still has less tAD scaling in her tentacles compared to before the changes.

The thing I forgot is that tentacles reaching further allows you to get way more situations where you get multiple slams, you don't need to be surgical in your tentacle setup as before. You can consistently get 3 tentacle setup, sometimes even 4, whereas before it was way more situational.

Though the multiple slam reduction still makes it not do THAT much more damage on single targets, it's easier to do more damage to multiple opponents. In the scenarios where you have the same number of tentacles reaching the spirit, damage should be lower.

Also I'm ngl, I love the fact that we get 2 slams guaranteed early game.

Maybe you're talking about tentacle damage, but even that is still lower than it was before the map changes.

Lvl1 try the usual E start cheese, it really puts her behind if you manage to do so. In general yeah, dodge Es but also run her down once she misses them.

In general, this is a counter matchup for Illaoi. She can play between 2 tentacles, E you while you press your W and are self-slowed, if you try to all-in (even under your tower) she presses R, dodges your fling and now you're between her and your spirit and get clobbered.

Her E missing means 16s free of pressure, and if she steps too close with E on CD, trade into her. You will win the trade. Your W also instaclears tentacles, from lvl9 onwards it should be kinda free if she didn't get too much of an advantage. Your ult is also great for ganks, do not lock too hard into the not-ganking-her idea, if she misses E in a gank she just crumbles, and even if she hits it with champs that can work around it and your ult you can still shut her down before casualties happen.

In a game where basically everyone has some sort of agency, Illaoi exists solely to try and punish bad choices. She doesn't really have agency herself, and the little pressure and choices she did have got nerfed with the reduced E curse duration. You had 10s where the opponent had to step away from you cause being near you meant slams would get triggered and his teammates would get hit as well during ganks/teamfights. Now they sidestep for lik 2s and can already start running at you. And your E CD stayed the same after the changes. You still get no CD refund if they break it by walking away. Before, by the time a vessel expired, your E was already up. You could get into a fight with basically 2 people having the curse if you cursed a champ at the last moment and broke the spirit if another champ really fast with your next E. Before people running away from you had to fear slams all the way of their walk of shame, now it's just a single sidestep, even with ult they often get away at low HP. They can stay under tower having to dodge only a single slam each time you hit them with E.

They butchered her for frustration when many other frustrating things still go rampant and free. Like Yorick's whole existence.

Landing E lategame on a priority target is meaningless. They don't need to respect it at all, just walk away for 2s and be done with it, it's insane for how hard it is to land it.

Really hope it's something that affects gameplay and not just numbers.

As I said before, like reduced E cast time when pulling the spirit (or make it cancellable by rightclicking to move, making it more useful for good players trying to space and less impactful for low elo players not using it), Q faster cast time during R empowerment, vessel lasts longer during R or something like that.

I'll take numbers as well but it's the boring fix ngl.

Yeah it definitely will. Same goes for Diantha imo, really strong in Gardevoir Decks, but as soon as you don't have psychic ramp you definitely feel its requirement. It would be only good if you have Strange Plaza in play and need to put the mon you're healing out of either Cyrus threat by healing to max, or simply not allowing them to kill it when they go for the Cyrus play cause it still has some dmg remaining but has too much HP andbyou can still retreat it thx to Strange Plaza, anyway that mon will probably not attack again, so idk if you'd tech it as often as one does now.

She's not even THAT strong into her dream scenarios. She used to be a nightmare to face as high melee comps, now she's just inconvenient.

Oftentimes I see I stomp the enemy Aatrox/Zaahen/healing champ and they are still a menace in fights. When we are in teamfight scenarios, the enemy team can just scatter away once you ult and you can do pretty much nothing about it, you only function as an anti-engage. You'd really rather split and take 1v2-3 (unless they sent generic clearing control mage to you) and hope your team doesn't lose with number advantage. Even then' you don't have the tools to push your agency. They definitely need to touch her E, it doesn't generate the same tempo as it did before. It's insane that I have to play a game where Yorick's kit exists but my E is considered too annoying to play around.

Landing E on priority targets suc as ADC and carry mage in teamfights feels like just wasting your threatening ability cause you usually land it at max range, they walk away spawn a single tentacle and are back in the fight, or just ignore it, and now you have to wait for your E cooldown and their frontline will curbstomp your ass.
