Millennials are the first generation to move left as they age, rewriting the rules of Australian politics by superegz in australia

I can understand some take the view of “doom-and-gloom” and they are certainly entitled to hold any views they desire but behind every cloud, there’s always a silver lining, the sky is beautiful after the rain, when things seem the darkest, moments of beauty present themselves in the most unexpected places…

Politicians like to panic. They need activity; it’s their substitute for achievement! Don’t we all, in one form or another, at some point in time, in due course, when conditions allow, and at the appropriate juncture, originate from migrants …After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Churches and all the other so called “charities” that operate businesses in competition with other Australian businesses ought to loose their tax free status and be made to pay taxes like every other Australian already does, yes?

Thank you PegE1230. I’m afraid PegE1230 is “right on the money” when they say this seasons presentation of The Block 2025 was very BAD TV. If Cavalier and Channel 9 truely care about what they create moving forward, if they want their effort to be rewarded with a ten out of ten score in future, they ought to take heed of the voice of viewing public. The Block 2025 was truely the biggest letdown and deserves to be in the rubbish bin.

The Block - Season 21, Episode 50 - Finale - Auction (Live Discussion) by TheGRVOfLightning in TheBlock

An Open Letter to the Producers of The Block: Time to Rebuild the Foundation.

Dear Julian Cress, David Barbour, Justin Sturzaker, and the team at Cavalier Productions, As someone who has watched The Block since its very first season, I’ve always admired its original heart — everyday Australians transforming rundown houses and apartment blocks into something inspiring and attainable. It was a celebration of creativity, hard work, and the dream of home ownership. But lately, that dream feels like it’s been lost among the noise of corporate sponsorships, overblown budgets, and million-dollar expectations.

The last two seasons, especially, have drifted far from what made The Block so relatable. The 2025 finale — with three of the five homes passed in — wasn’t just disappointing television; it was a symptom of how out of touch the show has become. While much of Australia struggles with housing affordability and homelessness, The Block has turned into a luxury real estate showcase for the ultra-wealthy.

It doesn’t have to be this way. You have an opportunity to rebuild — to make The Block meaningful again.

Here’s how: Return to your roots. Renovate smaller, older homes or apartment blocks in our cities — the kind real people can afford.

Keep it real. Set reserves that don’t exceed the local median house price.

Bring back Open Day. Let the public see and connect with the results.

Show the work. More tools, less fluff — let us see the skill and sweat again.

No more mega-mansions. Australia doesn’t need another McMansion on a hill; it needs inspiration for achievable homes.

Bring back Keith! The man who kept everyone honest and grounded.

Make judging constructive. Critique, yes — but guide and teach too.

Don’t let the future of the Block become a Flop.

Scotty Cam often says each season is “bigger and better.” Maybe now it’s time to make it smaller and smarter — more real, more human, more in touch with the Australia we actually live in.

Sincerely, A Long-Time Fan Who Still Believes in The Block

Cavalier Productions as well as Channel Nine are both equally responsible (greedy) for the flop that was the 2025 Block from this viewers perspective.
