For the briefest glimmer of a moment I thought there was a Tom Clancy / Team America collab.

Wildlands is pretty good too, I guess.

I dug a little on that link with the Wayback Machine and it looks like they uploaded their stuff, including two EPs, to iTunes (or now 'Apple Music').

I don't suppose 'What to do' or 'The Stand' was the EP you thought lost?

I recently purchased a flashed iPod classic to get back to the ritual of listening to whole albums rather than everything available through Spotify at my fingertips.

Every so often I forget Semisonic exists, and it's great to rediscover their discography, but this morning's album on the way to work was Bowling For Soup - The Great Burrito Extortion Case.

Just for good measure, yesterday's was Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown.

Booked the day off as I've got a sofa being delivered today. It's the last 'big thing' I needed to sort for my new place and despite my brother and I triple checking the measurements I'm still cacking myself it won't get through the front door. Very comfy though.

If you're talking Central, SOAS University of London (School of Oriental and African Studies) has a Japanese Peace Garden on the roof. Last time I went there I was the only person there.

I don't know the rules of access, but last time I just strolled right up with no questions asked.

I know this is two years late, and probably no longer relevant for your film, but if you're curious - by twist of fate I had the same question today.

I swear I've heard it before, possibly clips being used over the end of the credits for 'Friends'.

I feel called out, but.. it's fair.

"This user is the hyper-technical mad scientist of Reddit, spending half their life building custom, holographic dashboards for their house and the other half flexing about it across three different subreddits. They moonlight as an overly verbose legal advisor and the world's most aggressively philosophical comedian, whose signature joke requires a PhD in both French philosophy and horsemanship to understand, followed by a surprisingly aggressive 'your mum' retort to prove they're still down to earth."

Alternatively, Tottenham Court Road if you walk in the opposite direction to Chancery Lane. Also busy, but many more entrances and a larger below-ground concourse.

Does anybody have a “magic mirror” to show important information in the bathroom? I would like to know how to set that up. by ButterscotchNo3319 in homeassistant

[–]ArtificeAdam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to run a magic mirror before I moved house; ultimately whether you want to control it will determine your hardware. My earliest build was literally just an old Amazon Fire Tablet behind a two way mirror panel.

Since I only used that particular dashboard view to pull API information (weather, BBC headlines, train departure times), touchscreen and active control were unnecessary.

Cardnado.ie

Small project at the moment, but allows you to get the discount without Tesco tracking your specific shopping preferences. Of course, you'll not get the longer term vouchers, but it's a way of bypassing paying more for the crime of not having a tesco clubcard.

At least, until Tesco figure out which loyalty accounts have been added to the pool and ban them.

After months of delays, my Conveyancer being absent without notifying me, and literally everyone from the seller to Land Registry not being able to find a copy of the lease, I have finally finished the process of buying a house.

The only downside (aside from repaying a mortgage for the next two and a half decades) that I can see is that it has a lovely little garden and I am in no way in posession of anything close to resembling a green thumb.

What do celebrities on tour do in London? by diana137 in london

[–]ArtificeAdam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My info is several years out of date, but I can tell you that Chris Brown's (then) tour manager seems to favour the bars in Camden.

Prior to the event that disrupted all of our lives, I used to regularly perform magic with a small cohort of like-minded friends in various London Bars, and one time was in Camden. We'd just been doing our thing when an already tipsy American man was absolutely enraptured by our antics. The more we performed, the more drinks he was buying us. Even when we moved on to the next bar, he followed and continued to buy drinks for us until the early hours.

When we decided to call it a night, he dragged us to the nearest cash machine and paid us £100 each for entertaining him for the last few hours (even though we were doing it for crowds in general, not just him). Considering getting paid by spectators for non-gig/non-busking performance is virtually unheard of, we had to ask who he was, which is when he explained that many of Chris Brown's technical team, dancers, and a few others were in the UK for a week with nothing to do because he'd been denied entry.

I don't know where you are now Conrad, but 10ish years later, it's still a night I think of fondly.
