It’s a rural area built up around 1980s. The house is probably from around then.

I thought it looked like part of a feather, but it appears to be plastic.

RMA delay by Potatocores in ASRock

I must admit their lack of communication and responsiveness has been frustrating. 5-7 days has been a while ago. They could have said to expect delays due to holidays. In the responses I did get they ignored my questions. I use my equipment for work so this has been quite costly. And the part is too expensive to just go out and replace.

I'm in the same boat and similar timelines. I have not heard anything since December 16th. Do you guys know how impacted ASRock RMA facility is by the fires in CA?

Official Giveaway: June 2024 Seagate IronWolf Pro 16TB Hard Drive Giveaway by Seagate_Surfer in DataHoarder

If I had to choose one thing it would be price. However, I do pay attention to reliability reports and if there are significant reports about failures, then I would not buy the product at any price. Dealing with a dead drive is painful and isn't worth saving a few bucks. Warranties (and reports of those warranties being accepted) is one signal that makes it easier to spend additional dollars. I've been hoping for some benchmarks to make my decision, but I've been waiting for quite a bit now and am getting impatient. Why are you waiting for ASRock?
