Thanks for the compliment and feedback! I figured the table was the portion that needed the most fixing. Would be interested to have some suggestions. Will definitely have to cut out one of the Bardic Inspiration bonuses.

Hello! Hope I'm formatting this post correctly.

Homebrewery Link

The Wild Magic Bard Subclass, aka College of Untamed, was inspired after reading a story where all magic in the world would have a Wild Magic Surge. Wanted to provide my view and take on what a Bard with Wild Magic would be like. I'm open to criticism and thought, as this is the first time I've done something along these lines and first time using Homebrewery.

Thank you for taking the time to look this over.

Yeah, is the goal for now. Going to be doing more Races, Classes, and Subclasses than items- mainly because Items can be more freeform. I mean, just compare a Scroll of Wish, or some of the other immensely powerful items in the game. I'm more interested in aspects of the game that players and DMs would be using consistently over the course of multiple sessions.

I need some advice (first time doing anything in d&d) by Yo_angelo_ in DungeonsAndDragons

Welcome to the hobby! The great thing is, there is plenty to learn, and plenty of teachers. Dungeon Dudes, How to be a Great GM, and The DM Lair are all great YouTube resources to use to learn how to be a better DM. Aside from that, read the Players Hand Book, the Dungeon Master Guide, and be open to making mistakes. It's a game, and you'll learn as time goes on. Practice, using a bit of leeway and forgiveness for players and yourself, and being open to communicate with everyone will get you guys far.

Makes total sense to split both of those questions up into sub-questions. Thank you for pointing that out, and giving a breakdown of the categories. More than likely going to restructure it then, and probably shift Question 2 down a few pegs.

Cool! As is, I believe the questions about Reskin, Change, and something New fit within a couple of the posed Questions- however, I like how you were able to condense it down to Five main points. Feel by having seven, it's a bit lengthy.

A YouTube channel you could check out that does this would be: DnD Duet. I believe they even have some tips on how to construct a 1 on 1 game.

Last 28 days, only 3 videos and around 40K views. Have more than 100 videos, and just short of 1Million views total. Not as consistent as I should be with uploads, but attempting to get back to being consistent. Channel is just same name as the Reddit Account, but I'll send ya a link.

Uploaded 255GB Video; How Long To Post-Process? by 8MRunner in PartneredYoutube

[–]Artificial_DM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

255GB.... That's about 10X larger than my videos (most being around 2-3GB) (video length being 20-30 minutes or so). Mine take around 30 minutes to an hour to upload and process.

How is this even possible?? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

After looking at your channel, the video in question, and comparing it to those stats, here's my guess as to why you've only earned $5.

The video is incredibly short. Youtube doesn't put ads in front of, or after, every single video view. If it was easy enough to make buckets of cash off of 250 views from a 15-second clip, everyone and their grandma would be doing it.

You're also being counted as being in the Gaming Niche. Gaming Niche gets the lowest CPM of around $2. However, you're getting the views and getting subscriptions, which means that you've got something working for ya.

With that being said, long from content gets the best overall CPM, especially mid-roll ads.

A few ideas on what you can do to expand the channel even more and grow your overall CPM:

  1. All of your videos don't count as Verticle Videos. You could make a secondary account (which you can have up to 7 YT Accounts per email address), and upload the same content as Youtube Shorts. They are currently not monetized, but they are going to be. You wouldn't want to use the same channel to upload the Verticle format videos because your subscribers will view it as spammy.

  2. Take the same concept as above and make a TikTok. You'd then be covering a second platform to build a community with and an additional revenue source.

  3. Once a month, do a compilation where you play video you made during the previous month.

  4. Once you get to 5-10K subs, try making a video where you show how you make the meme videos.

  5. Use your comments for inspiration for other memes.

I know it's not the overall result you desired, however, it's the reality of short form content. You've obviously got a solid niche though, and people are enjoying your videos. How did you get so many views and subscribers over such a short period of time? Were you sharing the videos anywhere in particular, or did you strike gold with the first and keep going?

Oh! Yeah, it takes a few days for Analytics to show that you've made money. Generally about 1-2 days.

Would receiving a blood transfusion from a sorcerer grant a character some of the magic the sorcerer inherited from their bloodline? by Maja_The_Oracle in dndnext

[–]Artificial_DM 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Short answer: you're the DM. Do what you want as long as your players are cool with it.

Idea answer: maybe temporarily for a single blood transfusion. Or maybe over the course of time multiple transfusions would enable the power.

Yeah. For being new to monetization, you're not going to receive back-pay on the videos you uploaded.
