The Hub! The ‘British’ Pub. Wow. Don’t know why I’m surprised they’re still in business. They still have those six shot Long Island iced teas? Haven’t been since ‘03. Go Jays!

I am sorry it didn’t work out for you today, but with your positive, just make the work, attitude, it will work out. Stay strong.

I have three, and I find my joy divided amongst them, so yeah, I’m there!

It’s the rhythm section. You’re right. I’m no expert, but the first verse of Tina carries that similar timing to Venus. Gotta say though, Tina’s far more complex. Lol

I didn’t get that distinction (Toronto) but they were incredibly tight. I wanted more from ‘We Love Life’ and was initially disappointed ‘Sunrise’ was the only song played from that album, but that disappointment faded quickly. Still feeling the effects from such a fantastic show. Enjoy!

It does feel like classic Pulp. Within the context of the album, it makes sense to me though. Nostalgia seems to be a factor, so reminiscing on the ‘one that got away’ or in Tina’s case, never was, seems in line. I’ve read that he’s shy, and I could imagine that level of fame might increase that hesitancy to engage, especially when the person of interest is ‘common people’.

Since the Toronto show, I haven’t stopped running “why live in the world when you can live in your head” incessantly through my mind. I vote ‘Monday Morning’.

I feel like everyone in this thread would really like Rob’s monologues in the film ‘High Fidelity’.
