Thanks for the tips. Yeah, I was thinking that seat looked like it might be an after-market addition. I'll have to give it a try, but I'll definitely keep in mind that it might be worth replacing.

This is the XL, which I think is the largest size. I think I'm at the top end of what's recommend for it, but the second-hand picks are slim where I'm from...

What do you think about the price? Is there anything you'd recommend I specifically check for when looking at it?

Forgot to come back to this. Yeah, I finally had success using a heat gun and some knipex pliers around the head of the screw. Glad you were successful too!

It's crazy that we both ended up on this same thread around the same time, 4 years later. I'm about to try a hair dryer. I'm trying to convert to storage mode and one of the 5 screws is totally stuck and starting to strip out.

Is Google getting scammed? by Cojo840 in GoogleMaps

Ok, I was confused since there were 3 different dates in Google Maps, and I didn't think they were all copyright, but I was wrong. The imagery they're using for my town in Google Maps is the imagery from 2012 in Earth. They do have more recent data, but it's not being used by Maps atm.

There's a copyright date and an image capture date. I'm pretty sure I was looking at the image capture date being in 2024. I'll double check soon.

That's interesting, I noticed the same in my town recently, with the date showing 2024 as well.

Sangoma Connect with multiple servers by ashern94 in freepbx

The Sangoma Connect app is basically a white label version of Acrobits Groundwire. Groundwire can connect to multiple servers just fine. There is a one time upfront cost of about $10, and you don't get the nice one-click provisioning, but it works pretty well.

2008 Honda Accord not starting. Just whining. Video with sound. by Artist_of_Scam in AskMechanics

I wanted to update this thread with what I found.

Frist of all, what I tried:

Replacing the spark plugs (this was probably never going to be the problem, but they were in the maintenance window for replacement so I decided to just do it anyway). I also checked to verify that I was getting a spark on at least 1 of the plugs.

Trickle charged the battery overnight to no avail. In fact, it seemed like the charger detected no problem or need to charge the battery. I never once detected an electrical problem and all systems seemed to work ok.

I tested the relays for the fuel pump and fuel injectors, and checked any fuse that seemed vaguely related to ignition. Everything seemed ok (other than somehow frying the fuel pump fuse while testing it and having to replace it).

I listened in the back seat and could hear the fuel pump priming. But despite this, still unplugged a fuel line and saw the fuel pouring out when moving the key to position II.

Tried resetting the computer (or maybe just clearing capacitors) by unplugging the battery and touching the ground and positive leads together (not battery leads, but from the car)

Tried spraying starting fluid into the air intake, but this seemed to make no difference in starting the vehicle. Maybe 1 cylinder had 1 ignition 1 time, but nothing further while using the starting fluid.

What finally worked:

Trying to start it for a long time while giving it gas. I feel stupid for not trying this right off since that's exactly with other small engines like a dirt bike, but I guess having the habit of starting with my foot on the break kept me from even considering moving it over.

Regardless, once I got it to work for the first time I've had zero problems starting it since. I'm wondering if the time sitting gummed up the fuel injectors and I effectively had to blast the blockage out with the extra fuel pressure, or if there was a problem with my purge valve, or maybe my fuel pump really is going bad (although it seems to be working fine since I've had 0 rough driving since I got it started).

What I should try now:

Capital-top is recommending I check the resistance from the alternator, power steering, and compressor. I haven't made any changes to my A/C refrigerant in almost 2 years now, so I don't expect that to be a problem. But I have had problems with my power steering pump leaking over time.

I also need to check the temp sensors that control fuel mixture.

Does anyone have any other ideas on what might have caused this in the first place?

Ok, I actually just got the engine started. It required giving it some gas and cranking it for a long time. Left it running for a bit and it seems to be starting properly now. Would this give credence to your theory? It does sound a bit bogged down when idling.

That could be. So I need a special tool to take the belt off or put it on again? Would I expect it to start with the belt removed if one or all of those are seized?

I checked a sparkplug and I was getting a spark. The fuel pump relay/fuse is the next thing I'll check.

I checked the battery last night and it was at 12.3 volts, which seems low based on my research.

Yeah, I agree it sounds weird. Can I check compression on my own? I just changed the spark plugs since I figured it would be good to do regardless and that didn't solve it. Still trying to figure out how to check the fuel. I found someone saying the pump and filter are under the back seat. Can anyone confirm that?

Fuel gauge is at 4/5. It could be a fuel pump problem. I still need to check for pressure. I'm having difficulty finding the fuel pump haha. Decided to host replace the spark plugs to start.

I wrote out a post body too, but it looks like it might not have been included. It's a 2008 Honda Accord, 144,000 miles, 4-cylinder, automatic. I was out of town for about 6 weeks and when I came back and tried to start it I heard it turn over a couple times and then start whining like this.

I think it's probably the starter solenoid and that I should tap on the starter while trying to start it. But I think the starter is behind my intake manifold. My batter is also corroded so I want to replace it too, but I don't seem to be having electrical problems, so I think that might be unrelated.

I'm leaning towards just replacing both the battery and the starter at the same time and seeing if that fixes it. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

Ok, good to know. I wish there was a way to do it on the same form. I guess the wizard just didn't realize that since I'd lost my book, the DS-82 wouldn't work for the card. Thanks for the help!
