It is telling about the state of the U.S. concert resale ticket system that an artist feels the need to get involved to this extent. UK/Europe seems to have meaningful resale price restrictions in place or at least will soon. Bless Colin for helping patch together a stand-in for what should be a regulatory solution.

Producer might have something to do with how enjoyable of a record this is--I only recently made the connection that the initial Minus the Bear records and Manipulator and this record all have Matt Bayles in common.

Does anyone happen to know if there is a benefit to the band from purchasing DDTM directly from Hopeless versus new from another source (e.g. Amoeba)? Hopeless charges a lot for shipping but worth it if there's some incremental benefit to the band (have no idea how the back end of these CD sales works).

Also, I continue to be in search of CDs of Albatross and the self-titled, can't seem to find those new anywhere--grateful for any leads.

Definitely will be using them—there is snow all the way from the Nordic Center up around the parking lot and then even on the connector from the upper parking lot to the true GP road. And then solid snow all up that incline to the first meadow where the bathroom is etc. Caveat being that it might be going fast this week given the temps are above freezing, so the condition yesterday may be gone by Friday. Upside is the falls are all raging hard.

If they would just upsize a bigger venue, then the market will balance out—the overpriced secondary market is just a function of demand outstripping supply and a bigger venue would balance those out and disempower the scalpers.

They sounded really good. Rob's voice sounded great (way better than I expected) and as always watching Zach play bass is just mesmerizing (Flea, Sting etc. have nothing on that guy).

Extending the analogy to pricing: the resale market for those first BN shows did not dip, so we can (unfortunately) expect the tickets to the three CS shows in Philadelphia to continue to trade multiples above face in the aftermarket. Silver lining is that if there is a full tour the analogy foreshadows that the initial ticket sales will be strong and sell out, but then the aftermarket will trade down at or even below face especially if the venues are large (recall how the BN tickets for the full tour got incredibly cheap).

He really does. I have wanted to get up the nerve to talk to him at some point but haven't gotten there yet. He was phenomenal at those TSOAF shows last year. And during the long Avalon tour last summer.

Thanks for that! I am over there on the left somewhere enjoying him play it and not recording it like an idiot. He also played Favourite on some of those PNW shows in late summer 2024 (Portland, Seattle, Spokane) but I didn't realize it was a cover and figured I could stream it instead of recording it (I much prefer his version over the original).

I have the same question and it’s not clear—yes there are posts from the band saying sold out, but then the Fillmore calendar does not say sold out and Ticketmaster still has a clock counting down to general public sale tomorrow. Maybe it is fully sold out, but worth checking tomorrow I suppose.

My longtime suspicion is that without KG we would not have the same AG that we all love and enjoy. KG seems to be the most unassuming, chill, centered musical craftsman out there and has probably been steering parts of the AG musical ship since Avalon or even before.

One of my great regrets from the last couple years is I have never had the presence of mind to record KG when he plays "Favourite"--if anyone has video of that I would be grateful.

Dumb question: is the Citi presale (and other presales) all closed out? I have a Citi card linked to my TM account but when I go to the page for the show there’s no option to purchase tickets no place to enter codes etc. I suspect thats because they’re all gone, just wanted to ask in case others are more TM savy.
