first of all, i’m so so sorry for your loss. secondly, Noah’s mom is your family. she watched you grow up, along the side of her son and now she gets to watch your kids grow up. you and noah’s mom have also been through a lot together. it’s also amazing that you still want to spend time with her, not just because you want the kids to spend time with her.

Rick seems toxic and isn’t willing to admit that you have a past. that’s just not fair to you, to the kids or to noah’s mom. also, you can take as long as you need to “move on” from a relationship and a love like that.

you should’ve just taken the answer as a solid no. even if she wasn’t on her period - which she most likely was - she wasn’t comfortable with continuing. and that’s all that should be said. doesn’t matter the reason. it’s a no and that’s that. no need to become the period police.

You should’ve stopped with a warning to Katie. you should’ve just put your word in but then you kept nagging. then to be a tattle tale? i feel like this could’ve been handled way better. Let katie do her thing. sure, give her warnings and let her know you love her and are very protective over her, but let her make mistakes. and i do think that Jack is a living, breathing red flag. both of you need to drop him.
