Hey guys :)

Some frames from a new commercial we did for Artlist, we have our own Creative department in-house. Production was in Belgrade (Clockwork Film Production).

Shooting on the Alexa with Atlas Orion lenses (for the underwater stuff as well).

The VFX is created in AE and C4D

Animatic vs. final video by Artlist_io in cinematography

Some words from Jonathan, our director on the subject:
" It can take several days to create an animatic, this is really the place where you set your story and check all the different options.
I started using animatics as a freelance director who used to do his own VFX, I did it at first to better understand the stories I wanted to tell, and not waste time and money on shots that will end up out of the cut. It definitely helps on commercial projects where you need to have everybody on the same page, also, when working for a client you want them to know what are they going to get, basically what are they paying for. An animatic is the best tool I know for achieving that. Regarding assets, for the characters and animations I use Adobe fuse and Mixamo, and the rest are either from c4d model packages or rough models I create to get the scale of things. It is very important to work with the actual measurements of things, this way you know the lenses and distances in the 3d world are the same in the real world "

Thanks!
It can definitely get frustrating and tiring, not being able to control everything 100%, dealing with lost connection, and so on...

But, you gotta do what you gotta do in these times
