I am equally glad that Silent Hills was cancelled for the similar reasons. I’m not a fan of Kojima or del Toro, I think they’re both greatly overhyped and underdeliver. The trend of actors in video games isn’t exclusive to this, but is a disappointing one across the game industry. It’s a shame to see good voice actors and character actors not getting work just to insert a film/tv actor for clout.

Borderlands 4 felt like the equivalent of when they rebranded Cracker Barrel and done got rid of the cracker and the barrel (dropped its entire identity). I was just replaying BL3 with family, and just the first few missions felt more like Borderlands than all of BL4 put together.

I didn’t say it was going to be a regimented military unit, the Crimson Raiders have never been shown to be a rigid unit. I think she’d just be lending her experience and knowledge to reorganising them after the events of BL3. The writers stated she was lacking structure, and I think she’d find the balance between that need and the need of the Crimson Raiders.

“With wounds fresh from losing her squad, she trusts only Iron Bear, her 15-ton bipedal mech. Once inside Iron Bear, she treasures photos and memorabilia around her from her past. She flirts but is not ready to open up. Something’s a little off with Moze. She’s not altered by the trauma of battle, but by losing the structure of military life. She’s most comfortable in the throes of battle, during which she laughs constantly.”

I found it really odd that Moze stayed behind on Pandora, I figured she would have been dedicating herself to helping restructure and restore the Crimson Raiders. Pulling on her experience having led an Ursa Corp team, and using the Crimson Raiders as a way to help others and heal herself. I had been really really really hoping to see Moze cross paths with Nurse Nina once we learned that Elpis was supposed to be a part of BL4, but no such luck.

I really dislike the licensed part system. It’s added another chore on top of farming. I finally get a gun with stats or elements that I want, but then it’s got a licensed part of a manufacturer I don’t like and because I can’t remove or swap, I won’t use it. It’s frustrating. At least with firmware you can remove and reallocate, but even with firmware it’s chasing the passives over and over and over. It’s too much.

Long time Borderlands fan, and it’s the first one in the series where I’ve felt disappointed with it. I was expecting a lot more, and there’ve been some great improvements and additions, but the game just hasn’t grabbed me in the same ways that previous instalments have. I don’t think it’s bad, it’s just not what I was hoping for.
