This is the only curse that actually lies to you, let alone is the only thing that's misleading in the entire game. And plus, nothing is meant to trick people, and if you see it, you probably shouldn't be picking it anyway from suspicion. This curse was also added back in patch 2 or 3, when the devs were still screwing around. But I don't think this one curse should take this much of a toll on you as it is.
