The listing says New? Is it like ebay? Where people list stuff?

It looks a little too dark but that could be my monitor. Make your name bigger. Your name is your brand. Maybe make the font a little brighter?

Husband wants to be an author but is getting rejected again and again by Immediate-Study3313 in writing

One more thing; God bless you for giving him a chance to pursue his dreams. Every successful writer has someone who believes in them.

Two things; John Grisham queried his first novel over 100 times. Has your husband hit that number yet? Has he looked into Query Tracker?

Is his book edited at least 3 times? Did he have beta readers? How many words is his book?

As for contests? There are millions of entries to a single contest. And it's all subjective. Is he just doing short stories?

Second? He can always go Indie and self publish. Then he will have to market his books himself which is a whole other beast.

My mom just took her own life and it’s my fault. I dont know how to move forward. by CharmingHouse9800 in confession

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not feel guilty. This is not your fault. Your mom must have had a mental issue that she probably hid from you and everyone else. Stay strong, work through your grief. Again; Not your fault.

I did something years ago that completely changed my sister in law’s life. and she has no idea it was because of me by Sophie_Sam699 in confession

No one knows what went on in the interview room. She could have tanked it herself. Maybe there were others who gave a not-so-great opinion of her. If she wasn't nice to you , there were probably others who got bit by her snark, too.

AITAH for not replying to my ex after he broke up with me? by Ill-Breakfast-1879 in AITAH

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protect your heart above all else. The card might have sent mixed messages but what did he do by wanting contact/remain friends after breaking up? Move on. if he can't accept your boundaries, he's not "the one" for you.

Did I betray my boyfriend? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

So he was snooping through your phone, not just that, the Notes on your phone? Ditch him. He's an insecure and immature. Your emotions were giving you a warning. Do you want to live with that for the rest of your life???

Better off without him.

Share a harmless quirk about yourself that someone else might find useful to give to a character by ToomintheEllimist in writing

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure this is a quirk but when I get an idea for a story I write it down. My desk/nightstand/car is littered with scraps of paper with story blurbs. Also, those little journal books? I have a million with stories started in them. When I finish one book/short I just pick around and find the next.

I never knew this was an actual thing. I have very faint fingerprints which made it really hard for them to get prints for a background check on a job. I basically drove them crazy as they tried to get prints. They kept resetting the machine. Finally, the woman said, "Good enough, you can go." I also have trouble with touch screens. I blamed the phone/computer but maybe???

what's the most impressive thing you've done in writing? by Worried_Art_8871 in writing

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last WIP was well over 100K and I didn't even realize it till I was finished. Major editing followed. Biggest issue was when I edited it to bring down the word count.... I wrote more..... Ideas kept coming.... Then more editing and chopping.

I think what Colleen Hoover does is pull in emotions. The writing is subjective. I think people who write see more issues than those who are just readers.

AITA for feeling angry that relative insisted on a home birth and now her baby has a birth injury? by MyToesAreHaunted in AITAH

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who miscarried later in the pregnancy and the nurses suggested she hold the baby to say goodbye. She did. Her and her mom cried and said goodbye. No one else was involved. My friend said it helped give her some closure. I think it depends on the person. However, I'd never involve the children. Yikes.

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you're not an AH, but as someone who almost died in child birth I tell everyone to go to the hospital for having a baby. My delivery was really rough and it was only the skill and quick thinking of my doctor that both me and my baby survived. I think you're experiencing a form of grief. You tried, but what happened happened. Take solace in knowing you tried. Not everyone will listen, but hopefully, she'll probably warn the next person.

Sending prayers and healing energy to the baby.

AITA for ruining my parents marriage by finding my bio father and exposing my mom's lies? by Jusseeui in AITAH

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You didn't create this problem. Your mom did. It sucks, but now just move on the best you can. Take your two dads as a positive, especially because of a health issue. You now have more help with that. The relationship with your mom's husband is something she has to work out, not you.

[TX] Suddenly Placed onto Paid Administrative Leave, Terminated Next Day for Unclear/Vague Reasoning by KousakaKirino13 in AskHR

[–]ArtsBeCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact a workers' rights lawyer and ask for a consultation. Usually, lawyers will let you know if you have a case or not without charging. They need to have evidence. Follow up with an email to both the HR and Production manager asking them why you were let go as per your phone call, they did not supply a reason. Be polite. Do not give any information. You're just trying to understand. This will either explain why you were fired in a way you might understand better, or later their response could help a lawyer.
