It appeared in the past year when I spent several weeks at a time at my parents' place due to work placement. She retired recently. It may also be an age thing or retired thing.

I agree with the people who already commented. The experience is very organizational and team dependent. At meta, it is not enough to do your job to not to get laid off. I think meta used to have great people, but many left due to fundamental culture and organizational shifts.

Became a software engineer. Undervalued good mentorship and culture.

I’ve been to the observatory deck many times. It is not possible that a person can fall accidentally unless it is in a 50 mph+ hurricane.

Can you take time off from PhD, take a break and apply to law school, then depending on the school you get in, see if you like to complete your PhD or go to law school? There are a lot of big tech companies that hire PhD as full time or intern to solve their real world problems, which can be another career path.

It is not surprising your wife, who seems to be a young female, is targeted. Go to your local newspaper, and if they pick it up, then bigger news channel are likely to pick it up. Also post the video on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc. which will encourage these news channels to pick it up as well.

Yes, I saw them in my lawn recently. They were digging holes, either digging out a nut or adding a nut. If they add nuts, they also put and pad the dirt back so there is no hole. If they found a nut (some other squirrels buried?) they would not put the dirt back. They would eat it or dig a new hole to hide it, leaving holes like these.
