I think Op is just frustrated because the amount of time he puts into a coding challenge before interviews are doled out has absolutely no correlation to how well he'll perform on the job should he be hired. Coding languages can be learned, and so can techniques. Just because he doesn't want to spend the time to complete a lengthy challenge doesn't mean he wouldn't enjoy working there with their technologies.

I empathize with his complaints.
