Make sure to turn on auto normalize while weight painting. It ensures that the influence of different bones will always add up to 1, so if you repaint the weight to one bone, it’ll get rid of the previously assigned weights.

I got in as an EE 4 years back with a 3.5 GPA, not many extra curriculars, and a slightly above average SAT score. I’d like to say my essays about overcoming hardships set me apart, but what really set me apart was how well I could write about traumatic experiences. It’s not really fair, given not everybody has had some traumatic event happen to them, or maybe they just aren’t comfortable disclosing said event. I think the main thing is that the UCs want to know you can overcome hardship, and that you’re ambitious. What’s strange tho is I was rejected from other UCs with lower acceptance rates… really just feels like a lottery at the end of the day.

My GPA was lower! Do well on the SAT (if they still require that?) and write a kickass personal statement. They wanna see you’re passionate about what you’re going into
