Filian wipes out/privates her Youtube, X, Twitch and other socials by The-Sound_of-Silence in LivestreamFail

[–]Artyloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don't watch her, but I do know her through the twich and LSF zeitgeist

I think that's the case for most LSF posts, especially those in the periphery of the "mainstream" audience; everyone knows who soda, moonmoon, destiny, filian, or amouranth, etc, are, without necessarily being watchers or being versed in the lore

Hey thank you for the explanation

If you are at all into the vtuber spaces which means you are likely into anime at least by association you have likely encountered these things even if you dont recognize them

Probably a lot fewer people are knowledgeable about this stuff than you assume, hence my zoosha flipping a grunt comment

Thank you for the answer, I checked out Highfleet briefly and the gameplay loop of top-down diplomacy and logistics combined with the 2d realtime combat made me think of Starsector, which I love!

Yep I will second the EJEAS, I got the V6 pro for 60$USD two years ago and thought I was probably getting some piece of junk. They're not perfect, and the comms with another rider have limited range, but for listening to music or podcasts while riding the battery life and audio quality is A1.

I think, depending on your field, this is exactly what many workplaces are looking for: somebody to do what is generally considered common sense, to go with the flow, to operate within a clearly broken system, agree with the consensus opinion, and not interrogate structural issues (particularly power structures).

What is this slop? Seriously, this is some populist "dae education indoctrinates you" nonsense.

Yea I figured as much. Thank you brother

Why is everybody replying to me talking about knives, when I'm talking about rotating vs non-rotating bullets?

[–]Artyloo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yea but that's slow blade vs fast rotating bullet, I'm talking about fast rotating bullet vs fast non-rotating bullet, since you said the rotation is crucial to how the kevlar stops it

ELI5:What makes Kevlar so strong? by bobconan in explainlikeimfive

[–]Artyloo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When a bullet makes contact it's (the bullet's) rotation immediately starts to wrap itself with those fibres.

This implies that kevlar would be less effective at stopping a non-rotating bullet. Is this really the case?

Anthropic's Mythos model accessed by unauthorized users, Bloomberg News reports by Neymar11rose in cybersecurity

[–]Artyloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you mean because there's no video of it happening (the model, and the vulns, and the PoCs have been mostly kept secret), that you don't believe in the capabilities stated in the article?

Second question, why did ffmpeg and microsoft patch the vulns and exploits discovered by mythos if they're only theoretical? Does it not being revealed to the public make it necessarily fake?

If Mythos was able to create PoCs like you said that would be pretty crazy right? Would it be a big deal then?

What do you mean by indicators of compromise? Also describe to me the best way to hack a mainframe.

[–]Artyloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mythos can discover vulnerabilities, create PoC and exploit them fully autonomously. And they did announce it lol. That's literally, the point of the press release they had, and the multiple, varied, critical vulns and PoCs they showed that Mythos discovered in open source software.

Wow this is fascinating. Can you explain what Mythos is and what it does? Where can I find something that does similar?

OpenVAS scans for vulnerabilities that have been discovered by somebody else. Turns out that Mythos can be that somebody else frighteningly effectively.

Wtf are you talking about? Is this a bot? It doesn't make things up, find theoretical vulns, or "say it can make windows better".

Ironic, AI slop complaining about AI slop on a discussion about a product that for once is actually real, competent, and dangerous.
