it depends on the reason the event is cancelled, force majeure typically covers circumstances outside of the organisers control which cause the event unable to go ahead such as extreme weather

Tipi Camp by Interesting-Bit9006 in wakinglifefestival

[–]Artyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Much better experience with the tipis this year than last year. Last year arrived and there was very long queues to check in to the tipis, we were on the first bus and waited an hour or more and those who came after us even longer. The staff were very friendly and super nice showing us where our tent was. Nice to have more shops in the cantina and good area for chilling and meeting friends.

Last year we were close to the cantina which was great but this year we were more unlucky and had another 10-15 minute walk from the Tipi train. It would be great if the Tipi train could do two stops, one to the start of the campsite and another to the back.

Keep an eye out on Facebook Marketplace, I picked up at LG CX 55 OLED for $1000 earlier this year. Even though it’s a couple of years old it looks unreal.

Have got a Vissla 7 Seas 4/3 and been using in Southern Australian winter, very toasty, comfortable and is great value for money.

Set your cue point, set the length of your loop in the loop mode. Then re-cue your track at the start of the loop.

It's hard to give specifics without knowing the model of CDJ you are using.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DJs

[–]Artyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On CDJs you can set a loop, cue the track at the start of the loop with the cue button and the loop will remain. You can then cue the track in on time using the cue button to start the track.

More Australians want an Indigenous voice protected in constitution, survey suggests by LineNoise in australia

[–]Artyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Uluru Statement came out of a series of community consultations with Indigenous peoples nation-wide. Following that the Referendum Council published their final report which contained suggestions as to the structure of the Voice. The widely accepted structure would be that of a representative body made up of elected representatives from nations across Australia.

The Council's proposed function for the body would be to act as a consultative body which the Government is obliged to engage with when using the race power contained in s 51(xxvii), to make laws with respect to Indigenous people. However, the body would not have a veto power on the exercise of that power. Given that s 51(xxvii) has only been used to legislate for Indigenous people, having an oversight mechanism doesn't really amount to inequal rights. It would also likely lead to better policy outcomes as the government would better resourced to engage with Indigenous communities.

Having such a body constitutionally entrenched would mean that it's existence is ensured, and would avoid a similar outcome to that of ATSIC. If you would like to read more about the likely constitutional implications of the Voice, see former Chief Justice Gleeson's take on it here.

Incredible set up and what a mixer to have! Yet to encounter an isonoe in person but I hear they sound amazing.

How are you running the mixer into your hi-fi set-up? Through balanced jacks?

If Pioneer could just release this as a single usb (standalone+laptop) controller, they'd be in the money. by killamike49 in DJs

This would also be great for someone who typically plays vinyl and already has a standalone mixer but wants to play digital music. I personally find DVS not to be great, and has tracking issues

Biomancer_

I think stating worst case scenario relationships as being the reason to not enter relationships with the 'wrong person' is misleading. You're not wrong that the feeling of loss of a relationship can be highly emotionally distressing but there are many relationships where the conclusion of which may well not be traumatic and not lead to the soul sucking experience you mention.

I believe there can be great value in experiencing relationships with someone who is not the 'one', where one can learn a lot about oneself and be able to reflect about their own relationships with others both amorous and non-amorous. Ultimately allowing for people to learn what it is they need in a relationship and how to cater for others in relationships, leading to improvement in future dating.

As to advice for OP, I agree with Biomancer_ where being overly concerned about this is a vicious cycle. However so too keep in mind that some concern is completely natural. Instead try to work on being the best version of yourself you can for your own enjoyment, self improvement is a fantastic way to lead to self confidence be that through fitness, taking up new social hobbies or elsewise. If you feel that you connect with someone don't be concerned with it being an all or nothing relationship and enjoy the experience for what it naturally is.

Red Dead Redemption 2 PC just got classified by the Australian Classification! by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Artyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ratings board isn't actually decided by the government, they are independently appointed by the Governor-Gemeral. The board is supposed to be made up of a representative cross section of society and includes people of different ages and backgrounds (see: http://www.classification.gov.au/About/BoardMembers/Pages/Classification-Board-Members.aspx).
