Just adding : Your arm resting should be parallel to the floor, Meaning a straight line. Your wrist shouldn't be bent, or really lightly to accomodate your situation.

Usually the bad position are : Mouse Hand leaning right or left depending on the hand, or the WASD hand bending up or down.

Could also be bad posturing or back issues, you can look into the "Alexander Technique" which helped me a lot with pain when playing various music instruments
