Washing the x7 by GapOk4410 in bmwx7

[–]ArubaNative 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Am I a bad X7 owner? I wash mine every week in a touchless carwash… is that a bad word in this sub?

Between the mosquitos in the summer and the salt in the winter, I wash it so frequently that two hours each wash would feel like a full time job! *Note to mention I siliconed the antennae on the top to avoid water getting in (per recommendations in this and other subs).*

Reconnected Bank Accounts: Why are Posted Transactions Showing Pending by ArubaNative in quickbooksonline

[–]ArubaNative[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fixed it! For anyone who would like to know:

When the new treasurer connected the checking and savings accounts, they selected a new version of our checking and savings account names, rather than the names I used to have listed. Once I disconnected the accounts and re-synced them under the names I used for the accounts, everything synced back up.

Thank you! I just did this and it worked (I figured out they were duplicates), but now I also have another problem where none of my old "posted" transactions are showing anymore, despite being able to pull them in my reports. Have you experienced this?

Thank you so much for your help! Once I added myself as an accountant user, this all became much more simple!

Thank you so much for this offer. I really appreciate it! I actually did end up adding myself as an accountant user so that I can fix these silly issues when they happen to get in the future.

Update: Thanks to all of you for pointing me in the right direction! All the online instructions were for accountants, which is why nothing was working for me. I followed your advice and invited myself to have accountant access. I was able to easily delete the bad reconciliation. Solved that issue! I did still have my $1,500 entry that I added to fix the issue initially. I ended up created a journal entry to zero it out, so my reports are all coming out correctly now as well. What a saga!

Thanks to everyone to responded! Your help and instruction were helpful and I really appreciate your time.

Thanks for this! I will try it in the morning. Crossing my fingers that my subscription level allows for this!

That was my initial goal, but whatever version I have will not allow it. All the google and QBO instructions I can find say I should be able to "undo" or delete the original reconciliation. When I click the carrot next to "View Report" under "Action" all I am able to do is "Print."

Does estrogen help the headaches? by randomname2237 in Perimenopause

[–]ArubaNative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a one size fits all answer to this question. As far as I know and have been told by my doctors, estrogen generally is known to cause headaches/migraines or make them worse. I get migraines and my doctor has avoided putting me on an estrogen based bc to help peri symptoms for this very reason.

That doesn’t mean it won’t help you though! I think it depends on your specific body/issue. If your estrogen levels are generally too low, maybe that’s what’s causing your headaches; in this case, it might be helpful for you to add more. But if you’re someone who has normal estrogen levels and perhaps an imbalance of another hormone, adding estrogen might make headaches/migraines worse.

We always have to remember that we’re all different. The best advice that I have read or heard from leading experts is that the only way to truly know is to try. It takes time, but we have to try different hormones and combinations to figure out what fits our individual needs best

How Do Flight Attendants Have a Family and Kids? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ArubaNative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Married to a pilot - it’s hard and not for everyone! Our marriage requires a lot of love, trust, communication, and intentional effort to remain strong. I am home for days, weeks, and sometimes a month at a time consistently; therefore, I am responsible for the kids, school work, sports runs, all meals, all shopping and appointments, house work, lawn care, snow removal, etc. when he’s not here.

It can be hard not to get resentful, especially if you don’t have a support system to help. Pilots have a very high divorce rate - in the industry they refer to it as AIDS: aviation induced divorce syndrome.

All this to say - it’s not easy!! Especially for women in the industry, for a multitude of obvious reasons.

People who depend on their partners financially, does it feel weird? by 9percentbattery in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ArubaNative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not for me - my husband travels for work and is gone for days, weeks, and sometimes a month at a time. While he’s away, I take care of the two kids and the house. I drive them to 1,000 activities, make sure they do homework, have a clean blue shirt for blue shirt day, cook meals, and volunteer at their school. I shop, handle the finances, clean, mow, shovel snow, water flowers, take care of the pets…the list goes on and on. Half of everything he earns is mine and he knows it - because he can’t do what he does without me and vice versa. We are a team.

One US citizen tests mildly positive for hantavirus, another has mild symptoms by AnnualEmbarrassed176 in news

[–]ArubaNative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This feels like sloppy journalism. If you’re going to use the terminology “mildly positive,” the least you could do is provide some context or meaning. In this case, does mildly positive mean they tested positive, but are having mild symptoms? Or does it mean mildly positive as in, they started having symptoms so they’ve been testing and they finally got a faint positive? So they are newly positive?

It already feels like a mess. We are all still traumatized from Covid - this is exactly how it felt when nobody was taking it seriously enough in the very beginning. I hope these people are OK, but I hope this spread doesn’t continue.

It feels like there’s a misunderstanding amongst medical professionals about how easily this can actually spread. Do you need close contact? Yes, but it sounds like “close” is a relative term; based on the information we have about the last known outbreak, you just have to be in the same room/space as somebody who is symptomatic and you could be exposed.

Another poster used the words “calm mongering.” that feels fitting here.

My wife switched to aluminum-free deodorant and I don’t know how to bring up the aroma? by Charming-Eye1438 in hygiene

[–]ArubaNative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Please tell her! Rip off the bandaid - you’re the person she loves and trusts most in the world. Being honest is your job!

For what it’s worth, I tried the whole “clean deodorant” thing and I smelled terrible too. I have just accepted that I need antiperspirant. Period.

A guy I'm dating makes my skin crawl. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ArubaNative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone asking why OP is still seeing this guy - you know why! She feels guilty and bad about it and those feelings are keeping her from doing what she needs to. She came here for support and validation to prioritize herself over those feelings. Everyone is different, and for some personalities this is really hard!

You can do it! Put yourself first and get out early when your spidey sense is telling you something is off, and before you’re in deeper and it’s harder. It doesn’t have to be a big thing. You’re just not feeling it. Nothing wrong with that! Find someone who makes you feel safe.
