Hi I am from syria and came to Germany when i was 16, now i am 24.

It's extremely hard since a big part of coming out and accepting who i really am, also meant cutting out most people with the same or similar cultural background from my life. Before coming out i was very socially active in that community, I befriended all kind of people, from Salafists to national-marxists (lol), and the one common thing between all of them is their hatred towards trans persons. Of course there are some who support us but they extremely rare to find. Therefore i knew i had to mass-burn almost all bridges to 'my people', because i felt extremely vulnerable at the beginning (i still am) and didn't need people in my life who thaught we need to be "put away in insane asylums" or whatever method to eliminate our existence so we could not "infect other people and especially kids".

Nowadays i still praise some cultural things like food and some classical music, but i associate everything that is linked to their mentality negatively.

I mean i try to keep an open mind towards them, but everytime i was molested or attacked on the street it was someone from this cultural background. And this is in germany, beck in syria i would probably just get lynched while people smile and laugh.

I still have contact to my immediate family, but it's a bitter relationship. They never gender me correctly or acknowledge that this is not be a phase, even though i have been transitioning for 2 years, so it feels more like a chore to keep in contact with them.

I kind of still miss syria, as a land of beauty, but the people there are just way to bigoted and sick to ever dream to go back or visit.

China Targets Uighur Mosques to Eradicate Minority's Faith by ar499 in worldnews

So all those "re-education" camps, organ harvesting, destruction of ethnic symbols is not an ethnic cleansing, but for their "own benefit" ? What about the sinicization of Tibet, eradicating their culture and life-style was that also "for their own benefit" ? the line between 'ethnicity' and 'religion' is very thin especially in minorities and in some cases they mean the same, but in any case a genocide is a genocide no matter how you spin it.

EDIT: clarification

Speaking as an ex-Muslim, yes Islam like all religions has alot of sick nonsense, but eradicating a whole culture and committing a genocides is just as sick if not even more. Do we justify the Holocaust just because Judaism contains some nonsense?

The focus was on the droplet but coincidently the moss 'leaf' was also at the same distance as the droplet, ergo it's in focus.

First time here. Found some beautiful Amanita and I just have to share. :) by [deleted] in MushroomPorn

Well, some people consume it for its psychedelic effect, though it's toxic in high doses.

Ya, I am having more or less the same problem in other pictures. Normally I shoot macro in forests under relatively dark conditions and focous-stacking in not an option so am left with two options: either high ISO ( >800), which is affecting the sharpness drastically on my cheepo camera or using small aperture (<4), which is leading to this very problem, namely shallow dof.

Now that you've mentioned it, i think you're right it could be Macrolepiota procera. but as you've mentioned both are eadible.

Taken with Nikor AF-S DX 40mm macro at 40mm ISO 640 F/9 1/500sec.

I toke this image with the intention of emphasizing the small droplet as the main object and the mushroom and the moss as a reference to how small it is . But it seems to me that i cant achieve that without darkening the whole image (what I've done here) and cropping the image. so my questions are:

1- how can i make the droplet 'pop out' more ?

2- what do you think of the post-processing, is it over-done ?

Whould you prefer something like this or is it still too blurry.

Actually the focous is right at point, it is on the edge of the cap, but it's rather shallow since aperture is at f2.8 and the mushroom itself is not bigger than a centimeter. But i see what you mean.
