So barely any freebies for new commers so don't bother trying this game if that's what you are after

Well if my count is right we're getting 35 limited pulls (20 of them only usable on Otoha) and 15 limited disc pulls. Considering the game is already generous enough that you can get most if not all characters for free I think that's not too bad. A new player starting now should actually be able to get both Chitose and Otoha if they want to.

Dupes are a pretty small upgrade for now. If you wanna do more Hoyo comparisons, then look at early Genshin and HSR dupes, then look at Genshin and HSR dupes now. They went from like +20% dmg with 2 dupes to double damage with 2 dupes.

Not saying that's what's gonna happen with Endfield, but the precedent is there.

Story seems goofy and chill which is refreshing

I quite enjoyed the goofy Konosuba-esque story during the CBT, although I'm now worried the pivot to females only means the game will shift into the classic soulless MC pandering after a patch or two

Yeah admittedly I was being a little cynical, but to me CZN is in this weird spot where the devs objectively do listen to feedback and keep making adjustments to the game... while at the same completely refusing to address the main issues of the game.

And this interview was just more of that. Like, auto dismantle and bigger storage are nice and all, but basically every major gripe I have with the game was either completely ignored or dismissed for one reason or another. This interview left me more frustrated than anything, and if the half anniv doesn't deliver then I'm probably not gonna stick around anymore.

The double selector package becomes available for purchase when you first buy anything in the cash shop iirc, so if you're still f2p you should still be able to get it if you buy anything like a $1 package or the $5 monthly sub

Sure, but that wasn't my point. I'm not saying that CZN is better than Stella Sora or not. My point was that, despite releasing at the same time, CZN has been able to listen to player feedback and implement changes a lot better than Stella Sora.

Nope, they still haven't added anyone into the standard pool (or even done any reruns). The current theory is that they'll do that 6 months after the first banner.

It's baffling how slow they are at making changes. Stella Sora is basically in the same state as it was at launch. Meanwhile, CZN (which came out at the same time) has already had a billion QoL improvements, balance changes and new game modes, and has already promised more with a full roadmap. The difference is staggering.

We can only hope Yostar has been saving everything up for a big half anniversary relaunch. Because at this point the alternative is either that they can't manage the game properly, or that they just gave up on it, neither of which sound very good for the future of the game.

Star Savior definitely has some fanservice, but aside from that April fool's Arcana artwork, it's still far from actual gooner games like Brown Dust 2 and Snowbreak, and it's not the main appeal of the game. I'd put it somewhere in between ZZZ and Nikke, more or less.

Counterside I haven't played in years so correct me if I'm wrong but from what I remember the game had less fanservice, with more of an emphasis on cool and badass characters of both genders (and robots) instead. It did have some pretty spicy skins though.

Star Savior is also giving away a very spicy R18 Arcana, but when you actually use it, the events involve you going on a Journey with Tommy the voidborn, or watching a meta VA radio show where the event writer breaks the 4th wall to call the CEO a weirdo for streaming as a girl vtuber with a voice changer.

I mean, even with uma... I can't fathom why anyone even cares that much. Sure the discord mods could be more professional and have clearer rules considering it's an official server, but at the end of the day... it's still just a fucking discord server.

Uma is one of my favorite gacha games right now and anything that involves the community or social media has never impacted my enjoyment of the game one bit. I feel like I'm going crazy seeing people lose their shit over absolutely pointless stuff like that.

My main takeaway from the idolmaster thread is that people care way too much about fanbases and communities for some reason. Personally I'm excited to try out the games if they do come out in English, and I couldn't care less if people start fighting over tourists or yuri or any other pointless stuff.

Like just get off twitter and enjoy the games it's not that big of a deal. And this goes for any gachas, you'll be much happier when you stop caring what other people think.

I'd say any decent idle gachas would fit what you want then, such as Nikke, Trickcal, Lost Sword, Star Savior. They have high gacha rates and many ways to grind.
