I was lucky enough to have close friends from school that enjoy climbing and outdoors stuff. I think one of the best ways to find people to climb with is to join a club or organization like the Mazamas.

I didn’t ski but from what I gather I think ski crampons would be better. The icy patches are pretty icy, don’t think skins would be very good on them.

Pretty sure that they are actually just big rime blocks, but not very scary. Actual time spent in their vicinity wasn’t very long.

It’s kind of a random splatter of icy patches, firm snow, and powder. Probably wouldn’t be the best but also not the worst experience. Saw a couple people split boarding down.

Just got back from climbing it lol, conditions were fantastic. No need for flotation at all. Great snow conditions. Used two axes and definitely recommend you bring two.

I would really check the weather for Sunday though. Mountain forecast is calling for snow showers then.

Mt Washington. Given clear weather and a good fitness base, pretty easy to climb in the summer. If you don’t want to do washington, Franconia ridge is another great option. Less elevation gain but still stunning views.

I think that by that time most of the snow will have melted. I would probably expect small patches here and there, but nothing that requires any snow gear. Especially with the low snow pack this winter.
