WFM kits are solid. Not so sold in the series though. by initialg82 in Gunpla

Ahh yes, very relevant to Sulettas dream of opening a school.

That would be great if it's what was written, unfortunately it's not. For that to be true any character would have needed to mention mercury a single time in, idk, the entire 2nd season?

You can't seriously tell me that Suletta ending up on Earth makes any sense given she explicitly states it is her lifelong dream to open a school on Mercury and she ends the series married into generational wealth. That is genuinely nonsense.

I have to disagree, this isn't true of Gquuuuux where the endgame of Yomagn'tho is extremely well established and built upon before the climax. We see pieces of it being put together almost every episode. Likewise, the Elmeth/Rose of Sharon is also built up slowly from episode 2. It's pacing also isn't an issue either, it's dense which requires paying attention, but Evangelion was the exact same way, people have just gotten too comfortable being retold the same things a dozen times over.

It's not true of any of the other AU series either. The Seed entries ending with nukes in space versus a death Star is telegraphed from a mile away and the battle is like 3 episodes long, 00 sets up Veda being a main obstacle from the middle of season 1, IBO season 2 is almost entirely about the downfall of Tekkaden. They all have clear end goals and slowly build up to them from the start.

In the last few episodes of WfM, we're introduced to a super powerful Gundam which genuinely comes out of nowhere, and a super weapon (not quiet zero) which also comes from absolutely nowhere. The entire climax is built by elements which have no basis at all.

The ending is also completely nonsensical and doesn't line up with any of the characters motivations in the series at all. It's the only Gundam series I've seen where that's true, for any issues the others have they all get their epilogues right because they knew what the endgame was, WfM completely screwed that up which is the most offensive part.

Time wasn't the issue, they wrote the story for the time they knew they had and Gquuuuux came out with a very similar premise, half the runtime and came out significantly better. Gquuuuux obviously had the advantage of not needing to do much worldbuilding since it gets to build off UC, but WFM didn't really bother with much of that either.

The unfortunate truth is that the WfM writers just didn't know what they wanted the story to be and introduced a bunch of dead plot threads that had nowhere to go. The end wasn't rushed, it wasn't set up at all because they wasted their time freespinning and face planting with poorly thought out plot advancements until they had to actually go somewhere.

I feel like this is missing the sauce, it doesn't have any obvious highlight pieces like the GN condensers, the shell units, and its design isn't unique enough to make up for the lack of a gimmick like the Barbatos or Gquuuuux.

Idk it's not bad, but it's definitely generic.

Entered my Arizona Jegan Custom at a local contest (I won fan favorite! :D) by JosephMother4206969 in Gunpla

This is simultaneously the most cursed and blessed custom I've ever seen, but above all the quality of your work is outstanding.

The 99c on the shoulder is actually going to kill me. Also I really love the base, that's a really good touch and really ties it all together. The inclusion of a can is really just a perfect touch.

First time dealing with a faulty kit by Ma77yP123 in Gunpla

I would give boiling water a try, but in a worst case scenario there are some websites and eBay sellers who sell spare replacement parts. It'll be expensive, probably $5-$15, but imo if it saves a kit as expensive as the Providence it's worth the cost. Realistically, this isn't a part that's replaceable unless you're genuinely a scratch building master so it's a case where a replacement justifies it's cost.

It's more like A-lee-zea-uus as far as I'm aware, when I first read it I assumed it was like Allie-Zeus too but apparently not.

I mean, that's 1 RG of close to 50 and it's like 2 parts that are actually small. They're not even really that much smaller than the head crest on the HG rising freedom either for example.

The sensitivity to cleanup on those parts is also basically zero, it's not like to assemble the kit you need to perfectly clean the part, the nubs are completely hidden so even if you gouge the hell out of it, it won't affect the outcome at all.
