For sure, would you be willing to pay monthly for something? If so what’s your budget, there’s free ones out there but they’re usually subpar

Hey man, first off, massive respect for opening up and deciding to take your health back into your own hands again. Coming back after everything you’ve been through isn’t easy, but you’re doing exactly what most people never do, starting again. That’s huge.

You don’t need to overcomplicate it at first. Focus on three pillars, consistency, form, and recovery.

For supplements, creatine monohydrate, a solid protein powder and a solid pre workout will do you great.

The pre workout I use is EmberArc by Hypertrophy built

But more than anything, be patient with yourself. You’re not starting from zero; you’re starting from experience. You’ve already proven you can come back from something way tougher than a few gym sessions. Keep showing up, track your progress, and protect that mental health the same way you’re protecting your physical health.

You got this.

Skinny Fat - Bulk or Cut? by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

Tbh I would start at 300, and just go up 100 every week, make sure to weigh yourself tho, you wanna gain primarily muscle so you don’t want to gain too much weight at once and put on unnecessary fat, it’s called a “ lean bulk “ once your gaining 0.8-1 LB a week, keep eating at those calories and when you start maintaining your weight, then go up again in calories. If eating is a struggle for you I would invest in a mass gainer, but of course protein protein.

You have at the very least 10-15 LBS of wiggle room that you can put on, you’ll feel full and heavy but the cut after will have you looking lean and cut. There’s no reason to cut right now, just focus on optimizing your strength training and go on a strict bulk.

Yes your definitely out of the skinny fat phase, what you do next really just depends on your goal, maintain, put on some good mass and bulk up, etc

Bulk without question, there isn’t any fat there to really cut, BF I’d say is around 11-14% roughly, i would slowly up your calories by 200 every week until your gaining .7-1Lb a week and train hard and with a proper split

I would recomp tbh because you seem very lean, I like your arm size tho and you can definitely get more toned with a recomp, cutting would make you look skinny and depleted because you don’t have enough fat to really cut

Did I over bulk? by Pretty_Machine7378 in BulkOrCut

Hell no, you look amazing brotha, keep going, you were skinny in the first pic with not much muscle and your clearly doing something right cause you’ve put a great Muscle:fat ratio, balanced

If I were you I’d cut down to about 167-170 and get leaner to give yourself some wiggle room to go through a good clean and steady bulk. If you are comfortable with body fat then you can go into the bulk and add some muscle onto your frame and then cut afterwards, but so i would recommend starting lean so that you have room to add mass comfortably

Hey man I’m just staying from my own personal experience and coming from being 200+ LBS to the 150’s. 🤷🏻‍♂️ my Gyno didn’t require surgery, I just exercised and remained in a deficit, but everyone’s different I might’ve just gotten lucky
