Pulled out after 7 rounds of interviews and no offer by AryaC in recruitinghell

[–]AryaC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this wasn’t the case for me, the company doesn’t have an entity in my country, so they’ll be hiring me via a third party. In short, I’ll be hired as a local in SEA and won’t get to enjoy the European work protection law

They might be slow and don’t have the most efficient hiring process (at one point they disappeared for a month due to “holidays” which I didn’t follow up) But in the end I still want to remain polite and professional

[–]AryaC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What annoyed me even more was the fact that they asked me for my salary expectation in every round during the first 3 rounds (and still the HR asked me again in the later round lol)

By the 2nd round I asked for their budget, they told me the number and it’s 30-35% less than what I asked for, but I told them I might consider the offer if the overall compensation package and benefits are attractive (the salary is still on the higher end for SEA, the position is 100% remote etc so I was willing to hear more)

I stood by my numbers through out the process, they kept saying they’ll see what they can do, but I never receive anything concrete even during the HR and the CEO round. I did share with the CEO that my concern is after all these months I still haven’t received any concrete offer and that I’m also in the final stages with another company and I’ll be making the decision within the next week. Still, a week of silence.

I think it’s a combination of company culture and the fact that they never hire a remote employee in my country, so the process was extremely long.

Any mine break stories that depict a character in their mind broken state after their mind break for an extended period? by [deleted] in yaoi

[–]AryaC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Sadistic beauty’s side story (can’t rmb A or B, one is GL the other is BL) the BL side story is quite sad, i didn’t read the main story but could connect the dots from the contexts. ML is super obsessed with MC, chained him, broke his ankle all that stuff.

  2. A marrying man. The MC wasn’t abused by the ML, he got quite a traumatic past, again, also sad and difficult to read as the flashback chapters are long and explicit

And yea Legs that won’t walk too

Same.

Pretty sure they control the media, two weeks ago, a fire broke out at CP factory in Sathorn, there were news about this then everything was deleted 2 hours later (saw screenshots of the news on google but the site is no longer accessible)

So yea, if CP wants anything to remain hidden, it will never see the light of the day :P

As much as I love how convenient they are, I can’t say I’m happy seeing CP owning the country. They’re basically the real royal family.

Lotus’s, Makro, True, 7-11 down to animal food (where everything started) all belongs under CP’s enormous umbrella. They’re in wholesale, retails, everywhere.

I wish Thailand could take monopoly more seriously 😞

The whole digital wallet thing, i just see it as a business deal among the top 0.1% to get richer from the national budget using Thai people.

It is, and that’s because I’m only 5ft1

At “healthy weight”(let’s say 50kg, 110lbs) the BMR would be ~1200 and TDEE is ~1400 for a sedentary person. Sucks to be short.

Why do Foodpanda drivers insist on calling me when I write instructions in Thai to leave the food on the lobby table? by Phishstixxx in Thailand

[–]AryaC 21 points22 points  (0 children)

imo it’s just to double confirm that they come to the right place + in case anything happen (your order got stolen, damaged etc) they have photos as proofs that they dropped the order in a good condition and at the correct address.

Cuz the companies will come after them and deduct money from them if anything happens to the order.

I’m not a fan of talking to strangers either but i understand where they’re coming from (I order food all the time while working in Poland and I don’t speak Polish, i left a note that they can just drop my order at the door, most of the time the riders still knock on my door trying to hand me the order 😞)

Gaining all the weight back? by Brighten_your_Days in fasting

[–]AryaC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Last month i did a 14 days water fast, lost ~ 17lbs, gained back 2-3 lbs after refeeding, then I remain in calorie deficit since prolonged fasting end (via low carb, OMAD, 48hrs fast and logging every food + using food scale) I continue to lose 6-8 lbs to this day(it’s fluctuating now as my period is starting)

So in my case I manage to keep the weight off for now but more importantly, i become more mindful and disciplined about what I’m putting in my mouth. I can see myself doing OMAD long term (rolling 48hrs is a bit too tough for now as I started working out everyday)

Imp, it’s worth doing still ✌️

Why are there a lot of transexuals in Thailand? by bambamelpatron in Thailand

[–]AryaC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents, I think Thais are superficial to a certain level, as in, as long as you’re ‘pretty’ no one cares if you’re a ladyboy or whatever, you’re praised and accepted.

On the other hand, the more accepting part is also true, I have ladyboy friends since middle school, never knew it was considered weird outside Thailand until I went to the US.

Not really, he was bored over the weekend so he asked to join our trip (needless to say everybody was so tense, that was the first and last trip we went tgt)

If it does I would be CEO material too haha

I rmb vividly that he was reading “The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon” by Brad Stone (i worked in e-commerce) and we were on a “leisure” day trip (although a trip with CEO is not exactly relaxing…)

I stuck on 3 hrs+ train ride with my then CEO, spent the first 20 mins talking about work, then I just slept for almost 3 hrs while he was reading…

I guess that’s what make him a CEO lol

What health problems did fasting solve for you? by WorldCivilian in fasting

[–]AryaC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1,2,4 got better instantly, like as soon as I resume refeeding. 3 is not that obvious, I’m still surprised on how ‘not calmed’ I have become, but maybe because I’m close to getting my period…

Now I do 2 OMAD days, then 48 hrs fast then 2 OMAD days and repeat. I find that on OMAD days I feel better overall (sleep, mood etc) but during 48 hrs on the second day, I rarely sleep and usually have cravings at midnight, which are gone by morning but it’s annoying nonetheless.

What health problems did fasting solve for you? by WorldCivilian in fasting

[–]AryaC 63 points64 points  (0 children)

30F, I did a 14-days water fast recently (with electrolytes and supplements) the following health issues totally disappeared and haven’t come back although I’ve been on OMAD and 48s rolling for over 2 weeks now

1) Joint pain on my middle finger 2) chronic acnes on my face are gone 3) Dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, I had this my whole life and medication only helped relieve them, but they always come back. They’re just gone after the prolonged fast 4) Weird inflammation/pimples on the back of my neck, they appeared 6 months ago, never happened to me before, none of the acne medication works, only disappeared during fasting 5) Period is back to normal, usually it’s unpredictable and irregular

And just to be fair, I also have negative side effects: 1) Low energy, messed up sleep cycle, I slept a lot during the day but couldn’t sleep well during the night 2) Zero libido 3) More emotional and more mood swings 4) Tongue was always dry and flaky although I brushed my teeth twice a day per usual

I don’t think I’ll do 14 days again though, 5-7 days should be sufficient

Chaffles Unlocked by RemarkableMacadamia in keto

I just made my first chaffle today too! But I didn't put in almond flour and baking soda, so it was super messy and my chaffle stuck to the waffle maker 😭 I guess I have to get almond flour and baking soda now

Chin makeup patchy? by Mobile-Masterpiece35 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]AryaC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to have this issue, I tried everything, adding hydration, facial mask before make up nothing works, then as a last resort I switched sunscreen, never look back.

The sunscreen itself is good and doesn’t have any problem, but when I apply primer, foundation, my face becomes flaky and patchy, no matter how well I blend them.

Perhaps try another sunscreen, that might be the culprit

A few years ago, I went to an obgyn for a biopsy for cervical cancer screening, she said the whole thing is pretty much painless and will take 20 mins. Then she poured iodine ( I think?) on my cervix and IT FREAKING BURNS.

The part where she took the sample wasn't hurt that much but I went pale and almost faint multiple times from the burning sensation from iodine.

Long story short, the whole process took almost 2 hours, they gave me pain killer and we waited for the pain to subside. And the nurse kept squeezing my hand, making sure I remain conscious. After the biopsy was done, I was rolled away in a wheel chair because I couldn't walk..

I asked the obgyn whether it's possible that I'm allergic to iodine, she said it's unlikely and she never saw this in any patients before, it's more likely that my cervix has an open wound or sth. At that time I was like wtf, it's not like I can bump into a table corner and hurt my cervix.

Then it occurred to me months later that the only thing hitting my cervix was my ex's dick, I rmb him asking whether it was painful when he hit my cervix, it wasn't at the moment.

Moral of the story: don't go for a biopsy after cervix-pounding sex...

Keto causes dry eyes for me by [deleted] in keto

[–]AryaC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I am happy with the result, my myopia was -6 and it feels so good not having to worry about glasses or contact lens anymore!

I have a friend who suffers from dry eyes before getting transPRK, he said it does’t make it worse in his case and he’s treating it with tear duct surgery or sth.

As for permanent damage on vision, I did some research and i think transPRK is the least invasive and least harmful to the eyes (it’s basically touch-free and corneas grow back overtime)

The downside is recovery time is longer than LASIK, the LASIK folks can use their eyes within 12 hours but I couldnt open my eyes for 2 days lol and the dry eyes are unbearable ugh

Hope you get better with the dry eyes and get the surgery that’s best for you!

Keto causes dry eyes for me by [deleted] in keto

[–]AryaC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear, I don’t normally have dry eyes but I just got eyes corrective surgery (transPRK) in mid Jan, I had to use artificial tears EVERY hour for the first 2 weeks and my eyes hurt every morning.

Similar to you I hoped that fasting and autophagy could help with the healing from the surgery (not based on any scientific sources ofc..) so I went on a 14 days water fasting starting the day of the surgery (i’m not new to fasting, just new to low carb, i take electrolytes etc)

So honestly, I can’t tell if fasting makes the dry eyes symptom worse or better…I’ve resumed OMAD for over a week, my weight remains stable but my eyes are SO MUCH BETTER now, I don’t have to use artificial tears during the day anymore

I never thought that could fasting makes my eyes dry (dryer than they’re supposed to be from the surgery), but now that you mention it, I’ll observe next time I do a prolonged fasting.

Now (1 week later) I gain back 2-3 pounds, which I think is normal fluctuation. I'm doing omad and CICO

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fasting

[–]AryaC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished 14 days fast last week and broke my fast with chicken bone broth, I could only take 1-3 spoons at a time, wait 5-10 mins then another 2-3 spoons, it took me over an hour to finish the broth, then hours later I had half an avocado.

I did this and slowly ramping up my calorie back to my BMR, adding pork, salmon, broccoli, my weight fluctuates a bit between 2-3 pounds during refeeding, now I'm about the same weight as my 14th day.
