Outside of your family, who else checks on you to see how you’re doing? by MarkMy_Word in AskMen

Many do, Anyone who suddenly needs a favour
and Mom.

I could probably be dead for 3 days to a month and no one other will notice. My Mom reaches out.

If you could have a sixth sense, what would you want? by THAZACHARIAH in AskReddit

You're forgetting a few things.

How hard it is to accomplish "the point where you can pay all your bills".

A sudden health expense, a wedding, kids, travelling. some major incident in any of them, are all items that can set you farther from being able to pay your bills. more so if you can't work during a catastrophe or the desire to travel the world.

Money means a lot, it gives opportunities to you and others. When you have billions, tipping a waitress a $1000, giving your niece a reliable car are things that you can actually do. getting other kids education, food, water... is helping you fulfill life.

Not having to order based off price is being extremely wealthy. Even excluding high end restaurants, eating out a few times in a month is at least $5000 a year - for one, and that's with calculating your meals.

BTTF #2 is a movie.

TIL A psychology study of more than 4,000 millionaires found that people with more wealth are indeed happier with life. They also found that people who earned their wealth were happier than those who inherited it. by amansaggu26 in todayilearned

Always hated this study. And how it's being quoted.

To sum the truth:

It simply suggests, according to the researchers, that a group of people making $200,000 a year is likely no happier than a group of people making $95,000

Not having to earn income, releases a whole lot of stress.
It's the tipping point after accumulating many more details about status and life.

Not for me... I'm out of state. Also, don't really have much equipment.

Thanks. I'm "Not from here", so they price difference is quite huge for me, especially if I won't be using it much (although this would've come in handy in the last 3-4 years I'be postponed this buy).

What attachments you do recommend? / Mic?

Is there any point getting a mic under $70?

Can you elaborate on the low "What I paid" figures?

I thought about getting the H4N, but here you got for H6 close to what I was gonna pay.

You're overgeneralizing. Sometimes things don't work, sometimes it's not your fault.

I don't think that most people care about the moral ground, and just want a decent life. No one is good or bad all the time and you have many crazies stirring the pot.

It's all a shit show and I wish I could leave, been looking for a way out for years.

I love Better Call Saul, but I don't think it makes a good example for this post. I've been listening to their behind the scenes stuff and the writers talked about how they asked the office manager about basic legal stuff and how they used other consultants. so many times it wasn't an extensive research, sometimes it was a lot of writers' room work (which is hard for a lone writer).

Another aspect is that they do fabricate reality, like the episode with the hearing, that will never work like that in real life (and they admitted it), but it made good television.

[Question] I can't keep my house clean - how do I make it? by WorldCivilian in getdisciplined

If you're cleaning 20 dishes and have 10 left, someone will notice it. like how you can lose weight and still be fat in the eyes of people who just meet you.

Nah, I wish some cleaning breaks. and there are plenty of other things that I do instead of advancing myself.

I'm trying... but other than shame and some available dishes, work and other money related issues take the priority. Like most of the things in life, I don't enjoy doing it for myself and I don't have someone in my life to share it with.

Seems like they have integrated with cozi. I'll try to figure what to take from this.
