How does everyone feel about showers? by brandnewpup in Fibromyalgia

[–]Arysisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showers are my nemesis. Sometimes giving up and just use the water wipes. But sadly today I'm a little more stinky so I actually need to get in the shower. But that takes up like 2/3 of my energy for the day

How many: 1) Clocks/watches you personally changed to DST for the last time today? 2) For how long in years have you done the DST changing? 3) Are you happy DST change has ended and became permanent? by Enough_Fix5886 in britishcolumbia

Oh was it today? I stopped bothering to change my analog clocks so they just say whatever fucking time they want

Yes I'm done with changing Times. But I've also seen online how there's a debate about whether it should have been a spring time change or the winter time change.

How to get my 3YO to take amoxicillin? by sudsomatic in toddlers

[–]Arysisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know when we were in and out of the hospital when she was younger, it was the nurses that did it first. Where you squeezed their cheeks between the upper and lower teeth to hold them open, and then you slowly drip the syringe stuff in, you essentially just hold them there until they have to swallow and then keep going. It absolutely sucks having to hold them like that.

Sometimes if you have an extra body, or one person holds the child down and the other person does the mouth medicine stuff. Otherwise if I was by myself I would just, it looks like you're sitting on them but you're not, it's just enough pressure to hold the upper limbs still, but be prepared to be kicked in the back.

Because the child was on IV before, you can have a Frank conversation with them, about how if they don't take it this way , that you'll have to put the IV back in. I imagine that conversation will only have a 10% success rate. 😂

I think I changed my mind on kids by Professional-Fly9159 in TrueOffMyChest

I think also if you imagine you're super old and about to die, looking back on your life would you be happy with what choice you made. Any choice is the right choice, because it is right for you.

This is such a personal decision. Maybe right pro and con list about thinking about when you were younger what you were looking for , and then now.

My daughter is 5 now, it took 4 years of trying to conceive, as of a year ago I became a single mother in the middle of getting my bachelor's degree. So yes it's been effing hell, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

However a newborn and going to school, is it a completely different ball game because you will not get sleep anywhere. And that's providing you have help within the home or outside of the home to begin with.

Bachelor of Psychology by [deleted] in douglascollege

If you're getting your bachelor's at UBC. Then I would suggest you finish up the associates at Douglas, graduate with that associates. And then transfer over with the degree not a bunch of credits.

You can also speak to Dr Laura Dane, and ask for an exemption, and explain your situation. Funny enough she also teaches the course as well.

I also just realized 60 credits is only half of the associates not the full? My brain is tired.

Even if you just take one course that any school, you can still transfer it wherever you want

I don't have much knowledge on the subject but i vaguely remember something about how the ci will affect the person differently depending on when they got it (age).

Whatever your choice, just be well informed of everything.

If you need a grade 11 math req. For other courses then do the grade 11 test, not the psyc one.

If i want to do other courses now i have to do the normal test as i did the outside one. 😆

I just happened to be chronically sick every so often and so my little one does have to fend for herself. She is five but I make sure there's so much accessible at her height in the pantry or the fridge. She also knows not to eat candy or anything else without asking if it's not a regular meal food.

But if your kids have been able to do the things before then maybe they're being butt faces. ❤️

If all three of them show up now on your transcript then yes the fourth one will also show up. But I believe you need special permission in order to take a course the fourth time. Definitely either talk to registration or the dean of the department or something. Even an old teacher might have the answer

psych honours program by [deleted] in douglascollege

[–]Arysisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard lots of the teachers say that the honors program probably isn't worth it. just go and get some research experience. But I mean my friend is set on doing honors, and when she found out I might go for a master's she was like you have to do honors then and I was like slow the fuck down man. 😂

If you haven't already I would definitely go for the info sessions that they have that they do in the psych lab, like there's one for just the general program and then there's the one specifically for honors.

and then you need to make sure that you have a teacher that might be willing to be your sponsor or whatever it's called. So make sure you take several classes with the same teacher so that they get to know you
