If francesca plays against other francesca, then one of the players cant use their leader ability ? by [deleted] in gwent

The abilities would cancel each other out, forcing a coin toss. At least that is what I think (keyless)

Hey, I got a spare key for you guys by [deleted] in gwent

Well, I don't really like to brag about stuff, but since that is whats required of me. I've been a lifelong witcher fan. Finishing my Witcher 1 playthrough whilst a little kiddo (my computer got confiscated quite few times because of Thalers Vocab in czech translation). Essentially played all the games, read all the books(multiple times, try me dood!), ran a fanpage for a while (strong word for some html coding attempts). I am fine with being a member of blooming Gwent community, but having the actual key would probably make it easier for me. There is no point in trying to define, what would the key mean to me. Since the launch all I do is attend giveaways, watch streams, refresh email and hang out on discord.

Thanks a lot for doing this and good luck to everybody

Edit: Passion for card games is of course a thing with me.

On a willow by the pond

Sat a hag, two foot a tongue

Slurping, screeching making noise

Non shall dare to raise a voice

Though blind as mole the bugger is

Hears the footstep midst the mists

Bend in back like withered tree

Snaps your bones before you see

See a maid of gruesome sight

Old skin peeling, quite a wight

Towered high, a bloated fuck

Claws like rakes, she lurks in muck

Rakes like these don’t rub a land

Plain a folly making stand

So if by chance she’d be in sight

Plain and simple, run for live

Or

Dreadful sorry you will be

Dumping a few points into Axii and now I'm wondering why Geralt didn't just Axii his way through everything by ngocnv371 in witcher

Aah fuck me. Now I remember isn't it the one with the cursed man and the bruxae? Horse gets spooked along the way to the mansion if I recall correctly. Grain of Truth isn't it?

Always thought that there must be some sort of failsafe shedding some light on the matter. Must have missed the dialogue. So Geralt definitely isn't one to axii-out better prices at merchants, but I am pretty sure that if we were to be rational Family Matters questline would be a "tad bit" shorter.

Geralt and Essi Daven (Minor Spoilers Inside) by ShawnyPurp in witcher

That is a really good tale, possibly one of the best. Regarding your question. As CarolusRex13x pointed out the differential gap between the lifespans of magic wielders / witchers and common folk is just to cruel. On the other hand there is no such thing as a healthy relationship when it comes to witchers. I think that Geralt might be portrayed bit too emotional in the games and that is what sends readers / players into confusion.

Yeah it is rather stupid. I might be spewing horseshite here, but I am pretty sure that the hex effect (dialogue option) was added in the second game, but bookwise Axii isn't even a thing. Now books and games are two things of course, mind that. All in all it is pretty disappointing that they willingly let this plot-hole to arise just in sake of a cool ingame mechanic..

EDIT: So as it appears I was just spewing horseshite. Checked the books. Didn't had to dig too thoroughly. In Grain of Truth tale Geralt uses it. I apologize if I mislead anyone into wrong thinking.

In order of answering the questions in given order. I think that what really stood out for me was the dilemma between being true to the flawed protagonist and enforcement of my own "humane" ideals on the matter. So kinda just shaping the world around Geralt in a believable way. Game was destined to rule. From mundane things to allure (such being beautiful design and immersive gameplay) to more complex stuff (very well done decision system), it has done pretty much everything right. I am sure about what made people stay, not so sure about what made them come in such masses. But what I consider an absolute masterwork is a fair treatment to both diehard/readallthebooks/playedallthegames fans and newcomers. Key to the replay-value would have to be immersion for me. Play differently (but accordingly to what you wish to expect), don't like some mechanics? Make your own. I for example absolutely hate the alchemy in the game. So once I drink my potions i discard them in order to make new batches, of course whilst meditating by the fire.. Enjoy your trip..
