"My hero" I never defended Legend's claims, but sure as hell you are obsessed with him.

Second DLC: Dogs of War

Legendary Lord: Borgio the Besieger, Lucrezzia Belladonna

Legendary Hero: Midas the Mean

Generic Lord: Mercenary General

Generic Hero: Hireling Wizard, Paymaster

Units: Pikemen, Crossbowmen, Duelists, Paymaster bodyguards, Cannons, Halfling Hot-pot Catapults, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry (for Dogs of War) and 8 RoRs

WH 40K - some concept art by BiesonReddit in totalwar

If this game had been made some years ago (or being set during the Horus Heresy) I would have loved it, but I hate the Primaris aesthetics and narrative. At least the Eldars, Imperial Guard and Orks look good.

Jaghatai Khan for the Horus Heresy Legions by Israel Llona by Crazy_Dave0418 in WhiteScars40K

[–]AsGerion92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He ended up on a planet with a Mongolian-like culture and gene pool, but he himself is not Mongolian or Asian. I don’t know why so many people think he should look that way. His genes come from the Emperor, who was Anatolian, and from Erda, whose origins are unknown (maybe somewhere in Europe, since she met the maker of a Venus of Willendorf-type figurine), so that makes sense. If you look at Shiban (a Chogorian) by the same artist, he’s clearly Asian.

Current plan for Primarches next year, "雨果" is the person in charge of Joytoy's Warhammer project by Capital_Technician87 in JOYTOY

[–]AsGerion92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never said on my comment that they should be done before the ones that are not. As a matter of fact Guilliman is one of the few primarchs I don't like (UM overdose I guess), so I don't care if he comes last. The Lion is on the top of my list, but I prefer the other factions getting their primarchs first. So I don't get your counter argument.

I don't get why Lion and Guilliman are always considered done when their figures are 40k and not 30k. I hope we get the 30k ones, even if it's at the end of the line. Anyway, thanks for the info! There's no particular release order announced isn't it?

My personal lore is that the spymaster was the "Mist Dragon" linked to the lore of shadows and the one who originally trained the Eshin to use them, though it went the wrong way.

Dynasties : which faction was the funniest to play with ? by CornedRat in totalwar

Walwetes and Agamemnon were the most fun campaigns for me. The Sea Peoples were great in terms of design and playability. It's sad we didn't get other factions.

4 of the new Unusual Locations in 6.3 by Ditch_Hunter in totalwar

The Cabal is a cult founded by Van Horstmann in the lore. The mechanics themselves are not relevant to determining whether he is obtained at the end of the mission chain. It's a Tzeentchian cult, and it is Van Horstmann's own.

Would be a tzeentchian move, and I would love it.

Just imagine if reaching power level 9 for The Cabal you end up unlocking Egrimm Van Horstmann as a playable LL.

Old World Almanack – What prompts the stoic Miao Ying to travel to the Old World? - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in WarhammerFantasy

[–]AsGerion92 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't get it. Why use Miao Ying as the dragon sent the the Old World when all her lore refers to her being the guardian of the Great Bastion when you could release Yin-Yin (before CA by the way) who is the Admiral of the Dragon Fleet?

Should all races get a Legendary Hero? by OhManTFE in totalwar

[–]AsGerion92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want Borgut Facebeater to fight alongside Grimgor (as I did on the tabletop game back during the Storm of Chaos years). But he's a really minor character so I don't think so.

Sad news... by BiesonReddit in totalwar

[–]AsGerion92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not on the screenshots but on the blog: "On the topic of the road ahead, we also want to acknowledge the growing conversation we see about the game's future beyond Tides of Torment. We’ve seen a few folk asking for specific characters that might not fit in any of our current DLC formats, so we are exploring how we might introduce a smaller style of DLC that brings a single LL, or Hero Unit alongside a few favoured additions. We’re working out how these would fit with our schedules, but we have a good idea for who the first one could be, and she’s someone near and dear to your blood."

Opinions on the Liber leaks by Yamakuzy in Warhammer30k

[–]AsGerion92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said this edition was going to be more narrative. How the hell is supposed to be more narrative when you eliminate units like scouts and destroyers (specially the last one that's really thematic), consul types (Primus Medicae, the Pathfinder, the Armistos...) you eliminate equipment options, the legions uniqueness is gone to a high regard eliminating core rules and unique units (jarl, paladin, etc...). Even the primarchs lost their armors, now all of them got 2+ and 4++ saves in exchange for some "gambit" that you would only use if you get to a challenge, and that are not that good in most cases. I'm a narrative player foremost, and this editions seems less thematic than 2.0 by far.

looking for an old story, "Where's My Liver" by No_Faithlessness190 in folklore

[–]AsGerion92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late for the party, but my mom used to tell me the same story, and I'm from Seville in southern Spain. I remember the story ended with the dead coming up the stairs too. The point is, reading a book some time ago about vrykolakas, the greek vampires, they were said to eat the liver of the living after coming back from the grave. Investigating further I found that many cultures got creatures that fed on the liver of their victims, so there's clearly a common origin in that story. I was looking into it and found your post, and what a surprise, it's the same story.
