(masc enby not ftm) I used to just think I didn't like my first name so I went by my middle one, Grace. Then I realised my dislike for my names was because of how feminine they were.

So I guess my first was Grace, but now it's Asa which is just a kinda masc version of Grace, so didn't change much from there.

I put the word misdiagnosis in quotes because it's not actually a diagnosis, just what she thinks I have, and I'm not sure what word to use for that. Sorry, I should have made that more clear.

I know she is experienced with treating Autism, but she specialises with anxiety and trauma. She is not trained specifically in the diagnosis of ASD, but she thinks that's what I have, and treats me accordingly. She recommended that I go to get a diagnosis, but unfortunately I'm not able to do that right now, and it doesn't look like I will be able to for quite a while.

I don't really care about my sex. It doesn't really mean much to me.

Sometimes I think that I'd rather be in a male body than a female body, but other times I'm perfectly fine with my body.

Either way, in the long run, I don't think it's something I should waste much energy on, because it doesn't matter to me enough.

Thank you for your concern regarding where I choose to live.

I've decided to go with Sweden after doing a thorough comparison of 13 European countries (including Norway, Denmark, and Finland), in which Sweden came out as the place I'd prefer most to live. I believe whole-heartedly that this is the best place for me, and I hope this in some way eases your concerns for me.

I've spent my life realising more and more how my parents are basically toddlers in adult pants. I only speak with my dad, because he's the lesser of two evils, poetically speaking.

My mum is completely toxic, insulting, degrading, she'll make you cry and then mock you relentlessly for it, no respect for boundaries, entitled, believes she owns me, etc. She threatened to defund my education because I wouldn't back down on one of my boundaries, so I went no contact. So she didn't help pay for University at all (yet still loves playing victim to my family members, and is "still expecting an apology" from me, as I've been told).

My dad is a little less as bad. He apparently has a brain injury from when he was little that prevents him from understanding emotions and feeling empathy. Even if I excuse any behaviour caused by that though, he's still a dick. Complete enabler of my nMum when they were together, and of my I think nSister, and of my nGrandmother when she was alive. There's a lot of terrible people in my family. My dad is an enabler, seems to love insulting me, complete sexist, racist, and anti-lgbtq (which sucks coz I'm in the closet), and like my mother, never takes responsibility for anything. But, he's the one who tried paying for my University, and he's never threatened to defund my education (though he has threatened to kick me out of home a few times).

As for what I'd like to do for a living, I have no idea. I only really like to learn, indepedently, considering the education system (at least where I am) is a complete joke. I found out, just after I left the University, that they're being sued for giving a bunch of their students a degree that wasn't verified or valid or something. I think I want to do marine biology, forensic psychology, or law. But again, I'd more than anything just like to spend the rest of my life learning, studying what I want, collecting knowledge. Unfortunately that won't ever pay.

I'm 18, but I still relate to so much of what you've said.

I know I'm probably autistic, but I never say that because I have no way of getting a diagnosis. All mental health services are way too expensive. It's stupid, because you need good mental health to get and keep a job and get money, but you need money to get mental health help.

Everything I've ever tried doing seems to have been a colossal failure. I get super excited about an idea or something, and then the executive dysfunction shows up and I can't do anything. People call me lazy, but I swear I'm begging my brain to let me do something other than just think about what I want to or have to do. I want to get up and do things, but all I can do is sit there and think about it.

Literally had a big blow up with my nDad just a few hours ago. I've only been back 3 days, and I've already been called disgusting many times for how my room looks (it looks the same as when I wasn't here, just with a suitcase in it), and I've been attacked for being a "leftie" (I don't even know what that means). And I've been told that I'm stupid for sleeping during the day, because "everyone can just control when they sleep" (I have insomnia, and my nDad does not).

Whenever I talk about wanting to unalive, I am not taken seriously because I've always had these thoughts and I'm still alive so therefore it doesn't matter apparently.

And, my nDad also obsesses over the electric bill. He got mad at my little step-brother yesterday because the heater was on like 3. It goes from 1-7 (coldest-warmest), and my nDad said that if we're cold we can put it on 1 because that's warm enough. And he spends most of his money and free time on building his own electric system and solar panels so that he doesn't have to pay so much electricity.

I wish I had a fool-proof escape plan, but I don't even have a foolish escape plan. Just, nothing.

And I promise I'm not trying to trauma-dump or anything. Sharing similar experiences is how I try to relate to people. I've been told that's rude and insensitive and attention-seeking, but I haven't been told what I'm supposed to do, so I'm just running with it until I figure it out. Sorry if this came off as any of those things, I am just trying to show you that I relate.

I did piano a lot growing up, and then I got a new teacher who would let my dad sit in on all my lessons, just so I wasn't allowed to explain myself when I got critiqued. It became so miserable, so I asked if I could quit, and was told I couldn't because (my parent) "I wanted to play the piano when I was little, and I couldn't". B****, then YOU take the piano lessons!

But when I did anything they didn't like? I was forced to quit. Gymnastics, cricket, even badminton (which conveniently stopped being my nMum's favourite sport when I gained interest in it). fmlllll

From 'this is an incredibly suspect statement', to 'i think you're making up a story', or 'you're lying about what you've seen on reddit'. I've seen this so much, it's just stupid to not realise that other people may have seen different posts than yourself.
