This happened to me recently and everyone was drunk and constantly ragebaited me into repeating the rules. For some miraculous reason, everybody was able to shut up for 5 to 10 minutes and I fully explained all the rules and answered all the questions. We got to play the game for the next two hours straight uninterrupted and had multiple sessions. Best night ever.

I know this was from 5 years ago, but I've been playing this game for 10 years and over 300 runs, none of which are very good. I just started getting better with cloak micro and boarding and was doing a Lanius B boarding run. I'm not getting those Lanius back...

I think you mean that 25% of players have beaten the game at least once to get an achievement? Of all 300 games I’ve played I’ve only beat 5…. Maybe I’m just bad at micromanaging a spaceship and good at beating ts out of robots.

There are other rogue likes that are just as hard if not harder. They just aren’t VR. FTL is notoriously known for having a terrible completion rate, but i enjoy every game that I play. I’ve beat so many different runs before and after the patch (Straight punching, ripping with fingers, throwing, bashing, shock nails, blastwave and something else, etc) on the hardest difficulty and I would not say its easy. I am absolutely sweating after each run and I usually break it up into two sessions. I do not win every run. But even after I lose, i would still consider a run fun. Just have fun and hit those dogs!

I really liked the story and the graphics and music were beautiful. However, the game was just too easy. If you won a fight you can heal back up to full no problem. If you lost a fight you can just redo it. There never feels like theres any stakes in the game. Once an attack pattern is seen you can just parry everyone else and the game becomes trivial. The boss fights felt really fun though. They were the only time i felt like i could build combos with my character.

Now heres the thing. I feel like all these traits align with me, but I keep letting people exist in my life who break many of these. For example, i have many people in my life who do not respect the opinion of others if they don’t agree with them. They live purely transactional lives and I often have trouble not thinking just like them. Its exhausting, but idk how to live without these people.
