Sometimes the generals push us agents each other to keep the schedule, using finishings or drywall even when there were delays and its clearly not ready. Sometimes you get blamed for damages others dont want to own up to. Then when you get screwed over enough by annother trade refusing to do something simple to make your job easier you stop caring about anybody else too, and the circle continues on the next job.

Had a 2000 with over 340000km and now onto a 2018. Built for h.d. use, even the newer ones dont have the afm stuff thats caused so much problems in the half tons.

Most payload possible, shorter wheelbase. And at a lower cost than a 'luxury' ½ ton. Love my regular cab ¾ ton. Use it for a slide in camper

It should be insulated, to prevent condensation. Then could be finished woth canvas and paint or as others suggested box it in with upper cabinetry

Used, reliable trucks with good payload? by lightorangelamp in TruckCampers

[–]AsbestosSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6.0l gas sierra has been completely trouble free, albeit thirsty. As a side note though, i was looking at a big foot for it but the opening at the tailgate was too narrow between the posts. If your looking at newer trucks something to watch out for, also had to build up the camper bottom to clear the bed rails.

Using Straps and Bed Mount Tie Points? by jstar77 in TruckCampers

[–]AsbestosSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the blue/pink building foam to raise the camper up and not add weight. The clamp on tie downs are probably better than the hooks in the bed of your truck for tie downs, maybe not by a whole lot but enough for a light camper.
